บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ SSI ร่วมกับ บริษัท ทีเอ็มที สตีล จำกัด (มหาชน) สนับสนุนกิจกรรม “ทิ้งซั้งกอ สร้างบ้านปลา” ของเครือข่ายชาวประมงบางสะพาน ณ ชายหาดบ้านดอนสำราญ ตำบลแม่รำพึง อำเภอบางสะพาน จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ รวม 10 จุด มุ่งพัฒนาพื้นที่อนุรักษ์ให้เป็นแหล่งอนุบาลสัตว์น้ำวัยอ่อน เสริมความอุดมสมบูรณ์ของทะเล และสร้างรายได้อย่างยั่งยืนแก่ชุมชนประมงพื้นบ้าน
ในปี 2568 SSI และเครือข่ายชาวประมงได้ทิ้งซั้งกอแล้วกว่า 50 จุด ครอบคลุมชายฝั่งยาวกว่า 35 กิโลเมตร สะท้อนเจตนารมณ์ “ธุรกิจเติบโตควบคู่การดูแลทะเลไทย” โครงการมุ่งเน้นการทำงานแบบมีส่วนร่วม ผสานองค์ความรู้ท้องถิ่นกับทรัพยากรจากภาคเอกชน เลือกใช้วัสดุเหมาะสมกับระบบนิเวศ และปฏิบัติตามข้อกำหนดด้านความปลอดภัย
กิจกรรมครั้งนี้ ชุมชนและบริษัทฯ ได้ร่วมมือกันตั้งแต่การเตรียมพื้นที่ อุปกรณ์ และการทิ้งซั้งกอ พร้อมแผนติดตามผลกับเครือข่ายชาวประมง เพื่อตรวจสอบการฟื้นตัวของสัตว์น้ำและความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ พร้อมรณรงค์ให้ใช้ประโยชน์อย่างรับผิดชอบ เพื่อให้บ้านปลากลายเป็น “ธนาคารสัตว์น้ำ” ของชุมชนอย่างแท้จริง
SSI เดินหน้ากิจกรรมอนุรักษ์ทะเลที่ขับเคลื่อนโดยชุมชนต่อเนื่อง ร่วมมือกับหน่วยงานท้องถิ่นและภาคีเครือข่าย ขยายผลสู่พื้นที่อื่น เป้าหมายสูงสุดคือการสร้างสมดุลระหว่างเศรษฐกิจชุมชนกับการรักษาทรัพยากรทางทะเล เพื่อให้คนรุ่นปัจจุบันและอนาคตพึ่งพิงทะเลได้อย่างยั่งยืน

SSI–TMT Join Hands to Build Fish Habitats
Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SSI) together with TMT Steel Public Company Limited supported the “Fish Habitat Creation Project” organized by the Bangsaphan Fishermen Network at Ban Don Samran Beach, Mae Ramphueng Subdistrict, Bangsaphan District, Prachuap Khiri Khan. A total of 10 artificial reefs were installed, aiming to create nursery grounds for juvenile marine life, enrich the coastal ecosystem, and generate sustainable income for local fishing communities.
In 2025, SSI and the fishermen network have already deployed over 50 artificial reefs, spanning more than 35 kilometers along Bangsaphan’s coastline. This reflects the company’s commitment to “growing business hand in hand with preserving Thailand’s seas.” The project emphasizes participatory collaboration, combining local knowledge with private sector resources, while ensuring the use of eco-friendly materials and strict safety practices.
This activity brought together the community and the company in every step—from site preparation and material support to reef deployment—alongside a follow-up plan with fishermen networks to monitor marine life recovery and biodiversity. The project also promotes responsible resource use, ensuring the fish habitats become a true “community fish bank.”
SSI continues to advance community-driven marine conservation, working with local authorities and partner networks to expand to other areas. The ultimate goal is to balance community economic growth with marine resource preservation, so present and future generations can sustainably rely on the sea.
