กลุ่มเหล็กสหวิริยา เดินหน้าส่งเสริมวัฒนธรรมจิตอาสาขององค์กร โดยพนักงานจิตอาสาจำนวน 16 คน เข้าร่วมเป็น “ครูอาสา รุ่นที่ 14” ถ่ายทอดความรู้และประสบการณ์ในหลักสูตรท้องถิ่นหัวข้อ “เหล็กกับชีวิตประจำวัน” และ “อุตสาหกรรมเหล็กกับการพัฒนาชุมชน” ให้แก่นักเรียนระดับชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4–6 จำนวน 485 คน จาก 8 โรงเรียนในอำเภอบางสะพาน ได้แก่ โรงเรียนบ้านหนองระแวง โรงเรียนวัดดอนยาง โรงเรียนวัดนาผักขวง โรงเรียนบ้านท่าขาม โรงเรียนบ้านดอนสำราญ โรงเรียนบางสะพาน โรงเรียนอนุบาลบางสะพาน และโรงเรียนบ้านชะม่วง
กิจกรรมดังกล่าวเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ โครงการพัฒนาความรู้อุตสาหกรรมเหล็กสู่หลักสูตรท้องถิ่น ซึ่งริเริ่มตั้งแต่ปี 2555 ภายใต้ความร่วมมือระหว่างกลุ่มเหล็กสหวิริยา สถานศึกษา และชุมชนในพื้นที่ โดยได้พัฒนาหลักสูตรท้องถิ่นใน 8 โรงเรียนบางสะพาน และได้รับความเห็นชอบจากคณะกรรมการสถานศึกษานำไปใช้ในการเรียนการสอนจริง
โครงการนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อให้เยาวชนได้เรียนรู้จากสิ่งแวดล้อมและชุมชนที่อาศัยอยู่ พร้อมเสริมสร้างทักษะและองค์ความรู้ที่สอดคล้องกับบริบทสังคมในท้องถิ่น นำไปสู่การพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตและสิ่งแวดล้อมอย่างยั่งยืน ขณะเดียวกันยังเป็นการสร้างเวทีให้อาสาสมัครพนักงานได้ถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้เฉพาะด้านอุตสาหกรรมเหล็ก เชื่อมโยงสู่การเรียนรู้ของเยาวชนในพื้นที่อย่างเป็นรูปธรรม

SSI Volunteer Teachers Inspire Bangsaphan Students, Class 14
The Sahaviriya Steel Group continues to promote a culture of volunteerism within the organization through its “Volunteer Teacher Program.” This year, 16 employee volunteers joined as the 14th generation of Volunteer Teachers, sharing knowledge and experiences with 485 students from Grades 4–6 across eight schools in Bangsaphan District.
Under the specially designed local curriculum, students learned through two key topics: “Steel in Everyday Life” and “The Steel Industry and Community Development.” The participating schools included Ban Nong Rawaeng, Wat Don Yang, Wat Na Phak Khuang, Ban Tha Kham, Ban Don Samran, Bangsaphan School, Bangsaphan Kindergarten, and Ban Chamuang.
The initiative is part of the “Steel Industry Knowledge Development into Local Curriculum” project, which has been running since 2012 in collaboration with Sahaviriya Steel Group, local schools, and the community. The program developed and integrated a localized curriculum in eight Bangsaphan schools, officially approved by school boards for classroom implementation.
The project aims to encourage young learners to connect with their environment and community, while equipping them with knowledge and skills relevant to their local context. At the same time, it provides a platform for employee volunteers to transfer specialized knowledge of the steel industry, fostering meaningful connections between the industry and the next generation. Ultimately, the initiative contributes to sustainable community development, improved quality of life, and environmental stewardship.
