This activity is regarded as the foundation step of Bangsaphan youth to move forward to participate in mathematics competition in national level where they won the second-best championship of mathematic competition of Thailand in 2009. Hence, this activity can stimulates several schools to pay attention and encourage their students to practice in order to participate in “Sahaviriya Group Challenge 2010” project. Finally, representatives from Prachuap Khirikhan have been sought from more than 300 students across the province to compete in national arena.

On the competition day, Mr. Sutthipong Terdrattanapong Deputy Governor of Prachuap Khirikhan presided over the award presentation ceremony. Mr. Padungsak Pranudomrat, a representative from Sahaviriya Group, and Mr. Tewtat Komkris, Director of Math Challenge Institute were witnesses at Prachuap Wittayalai Hall, Prachuap Wittayalai School, Amphor Muang , Prachuap Khirikhan

Miss Sudarat Chooseng, a student of Ban Nai Lock School and owner of the first runner up prize during Thailand Maths Challenge 2009, is the winner of Sahaviriya Group Challenge 2010 for the 3rd – 4th Elementary Level. She cheerfully said that “I am glad that I can defend my title because I always practice and as a representative of Prachuapkhirikhan I will keep on practicing to compete in the national mathematic competition. Please provide moral supports and cheer me up for this important competition.”

Sahaviriya Group has initiated a project to promote capability of Prachuap Khirikhan youth in 2009 Quick Math by inviting experts from “Mathematic Challenge Institute” to help organizing with aims to develop and standardize this activity. Earlier before this project, a seminar of Prachuap Khirikhan Mathematics teachers was organized so that knowledge gained can be used to apply and develop teaching method of Mathematics, as well as to prepare readiness of local youth before entering into the competition including to encourage each school to arrange a competitive round to search for their representatives to compete in the “Sahaviriya Group Challenge 2010” Project to further compete in National level.

Ms. Karntimaporn Pansanae, a teacher from Ban Nai Lock School whose students won the first prizes in the 3rd – 4th Elementary Level and the 5th – 6th Elementary Level said that “Today I am very glad that my students from Ban Nai Lock School won several prizes in this competition. The second best prize that our students got last year can stimulate and confirm potentials of our students. We provided opportunities for our students to practice themselves on Mathematic which made them able to win and are selected to compete in national level this year. I am grateful to Sahaviriya Group for their continued supporting for such good educational activity. Especially, Sahaviriya Group Challenge can open the door on academics for local students to enter into academic competition in national level. I wish that this kind of good activity can be held every year. “

This project is one of activities to demonstrate the capability of Bangsaphan youth in academic areas supported by Sahaviriya Group. Sahaviriya Group is well aware of importance of education and potential development of local youth so their standards can be on par with the youth in downtown areas and this project can play a part in driving talent youth of Prachuap Khirikhan to higher competition level in order to open their vision and experiences.

เครือสหวิริยาสนับสนุนเยาวชนตัวแทนจังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ก้าวสู่เวทีการแข่งขันคณิตศาสตร์ระดับชาติ

นับเป็นการเริ่มต้นของเยาวชนบางสะพานในการก้าวสู่เวทีการแข่งขันคณิตศาสตร์ระดับประเทศและสามารถคว้าตำแหน่งรองแชมป์ในการแข่งขันคณิตคิดประลองชิงแชมป์ประเทศไทยมาครองได้เป็นผลสำเร็จ นับเป็นการจุดประกายให้หลายโรงเรียนหันมาให้ความสนใจและตื่นตัวในการฝึกซ้อมเยาวชนเพื่อลงแข่งขันคณิตคิดประลองชิงแชมป์จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ “เครือสหวิริยาชาเลนจ์ ประจำปี 2553” หลังจากเฟ้นหาสุดยอดเยาวชนคนเก่งด้านคณิตศาสตร์จากผู้สมัครทั่วทุกอำเภอในจังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์เข้าแข่งขันกว่า 300 คน จนได้ผู้ชนะการแข่งขันเพื่อเป็นตัวแทนจังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ในการแข่งขันคณิตคิดประลองชิงแชมป์ประเทศ

โดยได้รับเกียรติจากนายสุทธิพงษ์ เทิดรัตนพงศ์ ปลัดจังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ ให้เกียรติเป็นประธานในพิธีมอบรางวัล พร้อมนายผดุงศักดิ์ ปราณอุดมรัตน์ ผู้จัดการสำนักประชาสัมพันธ์และชุมชนสัมพันธ์ บมจ.สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี ผู้แทนคณะผู้บริหารเครือสหวิริยา และนายทิวทัสก์ คมกฤส ผู้อำนวยการสถาบันคณิตคิดประลอง ร่วมเป็นสักขีพยาน ณ หอประชุมอเนกประสงค์ โรงเรียนประจวบวิทยาลัย อ.เมือง จ.ประจวบคีรีขันธ์

ด.ญ.สุดารัตน์ ชูเส้ง โรงเรียนบ้านในล็อค เจ้าของรางวัลรองแชมป์คณิตคิดประลองประเทศไทย 2552 และรางวัลชนะเลิศในรุ่นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 3 – 4 เครือสหวิริยาชาเลนจ์ 2553 กล่าวด้วยใบหน้ายิ้มแย้มที่สามารถป้องกันแชมป์ไว้ได้ว่า “ดีใจค่ะที่หนูสามารถรักษาแชมป์ไว้ได้ เพราะหนูตั้งใจฝึกซ้อมอยู่ตลอดค่ะ และจะตั้งใจฝึกซ้อมต่อไปเพื่อเป็นตัวแทนจังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ในการแข่งขันระดับประเทศ อยากให้ทุกคนส่งแรงใจไปช่วยเชียร์หนูด้วยนะคะ”

เครือสหวิริยา เริ่มดำเนินโครงการเครือสหวิริยาชาเลนจ์ ประจำปี 2553 โดยเชิญผู้เชี่ยวชาญจาก “สถาบันคณิตคิดประลอง” มาร่วมดำเนินการเพื่อพัฒนาการดำเนินกิจกรรมให้ได้มาตรฐานยิ่งขึ้น โดยเริ่มกิจกรรมแรกซึ่งได้ดำเนินไปก่อนหน้านี้ คือ การจัดอบรมครูคณิตศาสตร์ เพื่อนำความรู้ไปประยุกต์ใช้และพัฒนาการเรียนการสอนวิชาคณิตศาสตร์ รวมถึงเป็นการเตรียมความพร้อมเยาวชนในท้องถิ่นก่อนการแข่งขัน และผลักดันให้จัดการแข่งขันรอบคัดเลือกแต่ละโรงเรียน เพื่อส่งตัวแทนของแต่ละโรงเรียนมาร่วมชิงชัยประลองทักษะด้านคณิตศาสตร์กับกิจกรรมคณิตคิดประลองชิงแชมป์จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ “เครือสหวิริยาชาเลนจ์ ประจำปี 2553” ในครั้งนี้

ในขณะที่ คุณครูกานติมาพร ปานเสน่ห์ คุณครูจากโรงเรียนบ้านในล็อคที่นักเรียนคว้ารางวัลชนะเลิศจากการแข่งขันถึง 2 รุ่น คือ รุ่นชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่3 – 4 และ 5 – 6 กล่าวว่า “วันนี้ดีใจมากค่ะที่เด็กนักเรียนโรงเรียนบ้านในล็อคสามารถคว้ารางวัลมาได้หลายรางวัล เมื่อปีที่แล้วหลังจากที่นักเรียนของเราสามารถคว้ารองแชมป์ประเทศมาได้ก็เป็นการจุดประกายว่าเด็กเราสามารถทำได้ จึงได้เปิดโอกาสให้นักเรียนในโรงเรียนได้ฝึกซ้อมกันอยู่เสมอ และคัดเลือกเด็กมาร่วมแข่งขันในปีนี้ ขอบคุณเครือสหวิริยาที่สนับสนุนกิจกรรมเพื่อการศึกษามาโดยตลอด โดยเฉพาะการแข่งขันคณิตคิดเร็วเครือสหวิริยาชาเลนจ์ซึ่งเป็นการเปิดเวทีการแข่งขันด้านวิชาการให้กับเยาวชนในท้องถิ่น และสนับสนุนให้เยาวชนได้มีโอกาสเข้าแข่งขันในเวทีระดับประเทศอีกด้วย ขอให้เครือสหวิริยาจัดกิจกรรมดีๆอย่างนี้ต่อไป ขอบคุณค่ะ”

นับเป็นเวทีแสดงความสามารถทางวิชาการของเยาวชนบางสะพานอีกเวทีหนึ่งที่เครือสหวิริยาให้การสนับสนุน ด้วยเล็งเห็นถึงความสำคัญของการศึกษาและการพัฒนาศักยภาพเยาวชนในท้องถิ่นให้ทัดเทียมเมืองใหญ่ รวมถึงเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการผลักดันเยาวชนคนเก่งของประจวบคีรีขันธ์สู่การแข่งขันในเวทีระดับสูงต่อไปเพื่อเปิดโลกทัศน์และเพิ่มพูนประสบการณ์ให้แก่เยาวชนในท้องถิ่น
