กลุ่มเหล็กสหวิริยา ร่วมกับสำนักงานทรัพยากรทางทะเลและชายฝั่งที่ 3 สำนักงานประมงอำเภอบางสะพาน องค์การบริหารส่วนตำบลพงศ์ประศาสน์ เครือข่ายท่องเที่ยวเชิงอนุรักษ์คลองปากปิดบ้านฝ่ายท่า และประชาชนในพื้นที่บางสะพาน จัดกิจกรรม “ปลูกฟื้นฟูป่าชายเลนประชาอาสา” ณ คลองปากปิด บ้านฝ่ายท่า หมู่ที่ 1 ตำบลพงศ์ประศาสน์ จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์
กิจกรรมดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นเนื่องในโอกาสวันเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา 28 กรกฎาคม และวันอนุรักษ์ป่าชายเลนโลก (Mangrove Ecosystem World Day) โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก นายเผด็จ ลายทอง รองอธิบดีกรมทรัพยากรทางทะเลและชายฝั่ง เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดและร่วมปลูกต้นโกงกางจำนวน 710 ต้น
โครงการนี้มีเป้าหมายเพื่ออนุรักษ์และฟื้นฟูทรัพยากรป่าชายเลน เสริมสร้างความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ และเพิ่มพื้นที่สีเขียวในชุมชน โดยเฉพาะการปลูกต้นโกงกางซึ่งมีบทบาทสำคัญในการดูดซับและกักเก็บก๊าซคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์ ช่วยลดภาวะโลกร้อน และเป็นแนวทางหนึ่งของการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน

Expanding Green Spaces and Carbon Absorption: SSI Group Plants Mangrove Forest at Khlong Pak Pid

SSI Group, in collaboration with the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources Region 3, Bangsaphan District Fisheries Office, Phong Prasat Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Khlong Pak Pit Ecotourism Network of Ban Fai Tha, and the local Bangsaphan community, organized the “Mangrove Restoration Volunteer Project” at Khlong Pak Pit, Ban Fai Tha, Phong Prasat Subdistrict, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.
The activity was held to commemorate His Majesty the King’s Birthday Anniversary on 28 July and Mangrove Ecosystem World Day. The event was presided over by Mr. Phedet Laithong, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, who also joined in planting 710 mangrove trees.
The project aims to conserve and restore mangrove resources, enhance biodiversity, and expand green spaces within the community. In particular, planting mangroves plays a crucial role in absorbing and storing carbon dioxide, thereby mitigating global warming and supporting sustainable development.
