SSI Group Holds 2026 Vendor Seminar Enhancing Partnerships to Drive a Sustainable Supply Chain
SSI Group (SSI–TCRSS–WCE–PPC) held its 2026 Annual Vendor Seminar on 27 March 2026 at the Seapine Wing, Suan Son Pradipat 2. The event was presided over by Mr. Manin Intaraprom, with more than 300 vendors and participants in attendance. During the seminar, the Group shared its business vision and strategic direction, along with key procurement policies and guidelines for 2026. The session aimed to enhance mutual understanding and elevate operational standards between the Group and its vendors, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and alignment with good corporate governance principles. The event also featured presentations on key topics relevant to today’s business landscape, including labor rights, data protection laws (PDPA), anti-corruption practices, and carbon credit knowledge. These sessions were designed to strengthen vendors’ capabilities and support their transition toward sustainable business practices. On this occasion, the Group presented the 2025 Outstanding Vendor Awards to recognize vendors with exceptional performance in quality, cost, delivery, and social responsibility, reflecting the strong and enduring partnership between the Group and its vendors. The event also featured presentations on key topics relevant to today’s business landscape, including labor rights, data protection laws (PDPA), anti-corruption practices, and carbon credit knowledge. These sessions were designed to strengthen vendors’ capabilities and support their transition toward sustainable business practices. The seminar underscores SSI Group’s commitment to enhancing vendor management and procurement processes with efficiency, transparency, and fairness, while driving a resilient and sustainable supply chain in line with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.
SSI–TCRSS Receives CSR-DIW Continuous Award 2025 Advancing the steel industry alongside social responsibility
The Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry, presented the CSR-DIW Continuous Award 2025 to Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SSI) and Thai Cold Rolled Steel Sheet Public Company Limited (TCRSS), both part of the SSI Group. Representing the companies were Mr. Padungsak Pranaudomrat, Head of Group Sustainable Development and Corporate Communication Office of SSI, and Mr. Suchart Boonkrew, Department Manager, Factory Safety & Environment Administration Department, Manufacturing Division of TCRSS. The award ceremony was held under the CSR-DIW to MIND for Sustainability program on March 25, 2026, at Challenger Hall, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
The award is granted by the Ministry of Industry to organizations that have effectively integrated CSR-DIW principles into their operations, covering social, environmental, and community development aspects. It aims to foster trust, promote social symbiosis, and support balanced, long-term sustainable growth.
The SSI Group continues to drive community development through more than 20 projects and over 25 volunteer activities across economic, social, and environmental dimensions in Bang Saphan District, enhancing the quality of life for local communities in a sustainable manner.
SSI Group Hosts “Show & Share” Program, Showcasing Outcomes of the Dual Vocational Program to Develop Bangsaphan Youth for the Steel Industry SSI Group organized the “Show & Share” Student Internship Exhibition, providing a platform for students participating in the dual vocational training program to present innovations and learning outcomes developed through hands-on experience in real industrial operations. The exhibition was evaluated by the Group’s executives and employees, who served as judges, and was honored by the presence of senior representatives from the education sector as witnesses and supporters of the students. The event was held at Bangsaphan Technical College and reflected a vibrant atmosphere of creativity, determination, and pride shared among students, instructors, and institutional partners, with a total of 14 innovation projects presented.
The event forms part of the “Dual Vocational Program for Workforce Development in the Steel Industry,” a long-standing collaboration between SSI Group and Bangsaphan Technical College. The program aims to elevate work-integrated education by systematically linking classroom learning with real-world industrial practice. It provides local youth in the Bangsaphan area with direct exposure to professional working environments, while strengthening vocational skills, work discipline, and safety awareness—preparing them to become future contributors to Thailand’s steel industry.
For the 2025 academic year, 41 Higher Vocational Certificate (HVC) students were selected to participate in the 18th cohort of the continuous internship program, conducted from May 2025 to February 2026. The students represented four disciplines: Production Technology, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Power, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Throughout the program, executives and employees of SSI Group served as on-site mentors, providing close guidance, practical knowledge transfer, and professional coaching to ensure that students develop competencies aligned with the needs of the steel industry labor market.

SSI Launches “SSI GREEN,” Uniting 19 Partners to Deliver Thailand’s First Low Carbon Steel Supply Chain
Dr. Natthapol Rangsitpol, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, presided over the opening of the “SSI GREEN STEEL SUPPLY CHAIN FORUM 2026,” together with Ms. Arada Fuangtong, Director-General of the Department of Foreign Trade, and Mr. Win Viriyaphaikit, Group Chief Executive Officer of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SSI). The occasion marked Thailand’s first successful production and delivery of low carbon hot-rolled steel in coils, alongside the official launch of “SSI GREEN,” the company’s environmental label for eco-friendly steel products. The initiative aims to accelerate the green steel supply chain and support Thailand’s national Net Zero target. The forum was attended by representatives from 19 strategic partners spanning the steel industry value chain, who jointly expressed their commitment to collaborating in advancing Thailand’s steel industry toward a low-carbon economy. The event was held at Grande Centre Point Surawong, Bangkok, on 18 February 2026.
SSI has established a CO₂ emissions reduction framework anchored on achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The company is implementing systematic mitigation measures across the entire value chain, encompassing energy efficiency, energy transition, carbon offset, and carbon removal. Green Steel Technologies, low-carbon raw material sourcing, and an increased share of Green Products have been designated as key structural levers, alongside the enhancement of measurement, reporting, and disclosure systems in line with international standards and assurance requirements. In this regard, SSI has submitted applications for environmental labels for its key products under the 2025–2026 plan, including Carbon Footprint Labels for four products and EPD labels for nine products, with certification expected in the first quarter of 2026. In parallel, SSI continues to strengthen collaboration with customers and partners to support Scope 3 emissions reduction, thereby reinforcing the long-term competitiveness of Thailand’s steel industry in a sustainable manner.
SSI–TCRSS Join Declaration to Prepare for CBAM Phase 3, Strengthening Steel Export Readiness
Companies within the SSI Group, led by Dr. Thanongsak Khaengkhan, Vice President and Head of Manufacturing Division, of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SSI), and Mr. Suchart Boonkrew, Department Manager, Factory Safety & Environment Administration Department, Manufacturing Division of Thai Cold Rolled Steel Sheet Public Company Limited (TCRSS), together with 15 private-sector companies, participated in the declaration ceremony for the project entitled “Enhancing Readiness of Thai Export Products to the European Union to Address CBAM Phase 3.”
The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Nakorn Tangavirapat, Director of Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) (TGO). The project aims to equip Thai entrepreneurs with a comprehensive understanding of the calculation, reporting, and verification of Embedded Emissions under the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) of the European Union (EU-CBAM) and UK-CBAM. It also provides guidance on product carbon footprint calculation using TGO’s platform in accordance with international standards.
The event also featured knowledge-sharing sessions on CBAM requirements, practical reporting preparation, and key considerations during the transitional phase. The project was organized by Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) in collaboration with the Chulalongkorn University Academic Service Center at the Thailand Institute of Justice (Public Organization), Bangkok, on 13 February 2026.
Participation in this initiative reflects the SSI Group’s commitment to advancing Thailand’s steel industry toward environmentally responsible production standards, while continuously improving operational efficiency and systematic carbon management. These efforts support the country’s greenhouse gas reduction goals and enhance confidence among business partners both domestically and internationally.
