According to “SSI to Open Intellectual Treasury” Project, Mr. Kittisak Mapanao, Vice President, Manufacturing Division and Management team of SSI presented Britannica Concise Encyclopedia, in Thai version, worth some 430,000 Bath to 43 educational institutes in areas of Amphur Bang Saphan, presided over by Somchai Sangsuwan, director of Educational District Office Prachuap Khirikhan, Area 1.The event took place at SSI Audithorium. This encyclopedia has a popular reputation for summarizing all of human knowledge more than 52 subjects and can also be served as self learning source of the youth in the local areas. Such activity is one of the policies to help developing the educational quality of the communities.

“เอสเอสไอเปิดคลังปัญญาสารานุกรมไทย” โดยมอบสารานุกรม (Britannica Concise Encyclopedia) ภาคภาษาไทย ซึ่งเป็นสารานุกรมที่รวบรวมสาระความรู้กว่า 52 สาขาวิชา ให้แก่โรงเรียนในเขตอำเภอบางสะพานจำนวน 43 แห่ง รวมมูลค่าทั้งสิ้น 430,000 บาท ทั้งนี้เพื่อสนับสนุนแหล่งการเรียนรู้และเพิ่มพูนปัญญาด้วยตนเองให้แก่ เยาวชนในท้องถิ่น โดยมี สมชาย แสงสุวรรณ ผอ.สำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประจวบคีรีขันธ์ เขต1 ให้เกียรติเข้าร่วมในพิธี ณ ห้องประชุมออดิทอเรียม บมจ.สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จ.ประจวบคีรีขันธ์ เมื่อเร็วๆนี้

“Nong Lek Khao or White Strip”, a mascot which represent Cold Rolled Coils product, a new SSI product, joined in a National Children’s Day” at Mahidol University, Phuttamonthon Sai 4 Road, Salaya, Nakornpathom on January 10, 2009. There were a lot of game, activity and distribution of prizes to the 3,000 or more children who came to the university that day such as singing contest, story telling, speech contest, music performances, outdoor activities, as well as making hand-made book etc.
The objective of this event is to give Children an opportunity to express their interests in diverse kind of activities.

น้องเหล็กขาวตะลุยงานวันเด็กแห่งชาติที่มหิดล
น้องเหล็กขาวหรือ “White Strip” โดยใช้เป็นสัญลักษณ์ตัวแทนของผลิตภัณฑ์ Cold Rolled Coils หรือ เหล็กแผ่นรีดเย็นชนิดม้วน ซึ่งเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์น้องใหม่ของเอสเอสไอ เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมและสร้างสีสรรในงานวันเด็กแห่งชาติที่ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ศาลายา นครปฐม เมื่อวันเสาร์ที่ 10 มกราคม 2552 ที่ผ่านมา โดยภายในงานได้จัดให้มีกิจกรรมและแจกของรางวัลให้กับเด็กๆที่เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมกว่า 3,000 คนมากมาย อาทิ การประกวดร้องเพลง การเล่านิทาน ประกวดสุนทรพจน์ การแสดงดนตรี กิจกรรมกลางแจ้ง ร่วมถึงการประกวดหนังสือทำมือ เป็นต้น
การจัดกิจกรรมดังกล่าวมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเกิดโอกาสให้เด็กๆได้แสดงออกผ่านกิจกรรมที่สนใจในรูปแบบกิจกรรมที่หลายหลายกันออกไป

Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc. or SSI organized the “SSI to Open Intellectual Treasury” project by presenting Britannica Concise Encyclopedia, in Thai version, worth more than Baht 400,000 (Four hundred thousand Baht only) to 43 educational institutes in areas of Amphur Bang Saphan as the gift on Children Day at the Auditorium Meeting Room, Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited, Bang Saphan, Prachuab Khirikhan. This encyclopedia can also be served as self learning source of the youth in the local areas. Such activity is one of the policies to help developing the educational quality of the communities, so it can be as strong and equally as the ones in the big cities.
