Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc. or SSI supported the supplementary vocation of communities product manufacturing group in areas of Bang Saphan, Prachuap Khirikhan by purchasing the artificial flowers made from Japanese clay from Ban Podaeng Woman Vocational Group to use as New Year presents for the customers, the relevant persons engaged in the Company’s business operation, and the benefactors of the Company at the amount of more than Baht 140,000. The objective was to support and encourage local products of villagers in Ban Saphan and to make its reputation spread widely as well as to make the product manufactures to have more income.
Ban Podaeng Woman Vocational Group was formed by more 30 housewives in Tambon Kamnert Noppakun led by Mrs. Pratum Thongdaeng, to make the artificial flowers from the transformed materials and sold them in the local areas since 2001. Now they can develop their products to make them have various kinds and more beautiful that they are accepted by the government agencies and have been registered to be the local product manufacturer under category of artificial flower made from transformed materials. In addition, their local product standard has been certified by Thailand Industrial Standard Institute (TISI) in 2007.
