5 steel giants (SSI – TCRSS – NS Blue Scope – SUS- NSGT) hold a press conference on “the 6th Thailand Iron Man Mini Marathon” to raise fund and strengthen the underprivileged. Total fund raised from six years of arranging the event is more than 12 million baht, contributed to 22 organizations for the underprivileged. The event will be held at Public Library Ground, Lumpini Park, Bangkok on November 2, 2013.
Ms. Wanna Tangcharoenching, Vice President of Commercial Division of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SSI), reveals in the press conference of “the 6th Thailand Iron Man Mini Marathon,” which is held on 22 October 2013 at Silom Room 2, Holiday Inn Hotel Silom Bangkok, that the event is a collaboration between 5 steel companies, comprising Sahaviriya Steel Industries PLC (SSI), Thai Cold Roll Steel Sheet PLC (TCRSS), Siam United Steel (1995) Co.,Ltd (SUS), NS Blue Scope (Thailand) Limited and Nippon Steel & Sumikin Galvanizing (Thailand) Co., Ltd (NSGT).
“Thailand Iron Man Mini Marathon has been arranged for 6 consecutive years. It is a delightful event that more than 1,600 people, both public and private sectors, are interested in participating, including business partners, the group of companies’ employees, the general public, executives and employees from co-organizers. Moreover, this year Nippon Steel & Sumikin Galvanizing (Thailand) Co., Ltd has become one of our honour sponsors among 5 sponsors who have been continuously supporting the event every year. The total fund raised, as at October 15, 2013, is 2.2 million baht, making the total fund raised from the six years of arranging the event is more than 12 million baht, donated to 22 charity organizations, including the foundations for vulnerable people, the organizations protecting the disabled, the human rights organizations and the nursing home for patients.”

The 6th Iron Man Mini Marathon 2013 is divided into 2 categories as follows:
– Mini Marathon 5 Km. (2 rounds of Lumpini Park). Starting time 06.00 a.m.
Male: Under 15 / 16-39 / 40-49 / 50 & over
Female: Under 15 / 16-39 / 40 & over
– Walk-Run 2.5 Km. (1 round of Lumpini Park). Starting time: 06.00 a.m.
Male-Female Open (Non Competitive)
