SSI-TCRSS-BSL-SUS present income of “Thailand Iron Man Mini Marathon 2010” to the vulnerable people
On behalf of co-organizer of “Thailand Iron Man Mini Marathon 2010” activity, Mr.Win Viriyaprapaikit, President of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc.(SSI), Mr. Somsak Sivapaiboon, President of Thai Cold Rolled Steel Sheet Plc.(TCRSS), Mr. Jason Ellis , President of BlueScope Steel (Thailand) Ltd. and Mr. Tomomi Ohara, President of The Siam United Steel (1995) Co., Ltd., jointly present income raised from the activity at the amount of 2,295,881 Baht to 18 associations, foundations, educational institutes whose works are to provide assistance to help the vulnerable people of the society. There were more than 1,000 interested persons participate in this activity.

ผู้บริหาร4กลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมเหล็กประกอบด้วย นายวิน วิริยประไพกิจ กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บริษัทสหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) นาย สมศักดิ์ ศิวะไพบูลย์ กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บริษัท เหล็กแผ่นรีดเย็นไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) มิสเตอร์ เจสัน เอลลิส ประธาน กลุ่มบริษัท บลูสโคป สตีล (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด และ มิสเตอร์ โทโมมิ โอฮาระ กรรมการผู้จัดการ บริษัท สยามยูไนเต็ดสตีล (1995) จำกัด ในฐานะองค์กรผู้จัดการแข่งขัน เดิน-วิ่ง การกุศลเพื่อสุขภาพ “Thailand Iron Man Mini Marathon 2010” ร่วมมอบเงินรายได้ จากการจัดการแข่งขัน โดยไม่หักค่าใช้จ่าย จำนวน 2,295,881 บาท แก่ มูลนิธิ หน่วยงานผู้ดูแลและให้ความช่วยเหลือผู้ด้อยโอกาส 18 แห่ง เพื่อนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ในการดำเนินกิจกรรมด้านต่างๆ ของมูลนิธิ ในการส่งเสริมสนับสนุนผู้ด้อยโอกาส ให้มีคุณภาพชีวิต และโอกาสในการพัฒนาศักยภาพ ด้านต่างๆ ให้หยัดยืนอยู่ได้ ในสังคมอย่างเข้มแข็งต่อไป กิจกรรมดังกล่าวได้รับความสนใจ และมีผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรม กว่า 1,000 คน ณ สวนลุมพินี เมื่อเร็วๆนี้
SSI supported a seminar on enhancement of English language teaching skill
Mr. Paichayon Soorayathith, Director of Prachuap Khirikhan Educational Elementary Service Office Area 1 and Mr. Thinnakorn Phadungwong, Assistant Vice President Manufacturing (Operation 2) of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc. or SSI recently presided over a seminar on enhancement of English language teaching skills. This 3 day seminar titled “Development of English Language Teaching (ELT) and Communicative Competence for English Teachers of P.6 and M.3” have been conducted by Major Dr. Ra-shane Meesri, Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University. There were 150 teachers from various schools in Bangsaphan and nearby districts participated in this seminar which took place at Saphan Thong Room, Western Hotel, Bangsaphan, Prachuap Khirikhan.

นายไพชยนต์ สูรยาทิตย์ ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษา ประถมศึกษา ประจวบคีรีขันธ์ เขต 1 และนายทินกร ผดุงวงศ์ ผู้จัดการทั่วไปสายการผลิต – ด้านปฏิบัติการ2 บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดการอบรมโครงการพัฒนาความรู้ครูเพื่อยกระดับความสามารถทางการสอนวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ โดยมี พันตรี ดร.ราเชน มีศรี อาจารย์คณะครุศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ให้เกียรติเป็นวิทยากร บรรยายในหัวข้อ “Development of English Language Teaching (ELT) and Communicative Competence for English Teachers of P.6 and M.3” จัดการอบรมเป็นหลักสูตร 3 วัน โดยมี ตัวแทนครูจากสถานศึกษาในเขต อ.บางสะพานและอำเภอใกล้เคียง จำนวนกว่า 150 คน เข้าร่วมการอบรม ณ ห้องสะพานทอง โรงแรมเวสเทิร์น อำเภอบางสะพาน จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์

Mrs. Pavena Hongsakul, President of Pavena Foundation for Children and Women recently received the monetary donation which has been raised by the youth under “Sahaviriya Group Summer Camp Project” from selling their food during “Bangsaphan Tourism Fair 2010” to support activities to assist children and women in need of Pavena Foundation in Lum Pakkood Sub-District, Thanyaburi District, Pathumthani Province. Such fund was from one of the activities from vocational camp under Sahaviriya Group Summer Camp which has taught simple cooking classes to the youth so they can apply them to their daily life and basis for their profession in the future. Objectives of such activity were to support development of the local youths and make them spend free time usefully as well as encourage the local youths to be generous to the other and have social responsibility’s mind.

นางปวีณา หงสกุล ประธานมูลนิธิปวีณาหงสกุลเพื่อเด็กและสตรี รับมอบเงินรายได้จากการออกร้านจำหน่ายอาหารภายในงาน “ท่องเที่ยวบางสะพาน ตำนานเมืองทอง 2553” ของเยาวชนจาก “โครงการเครือสหวิริยาซัมเมอร์แคมป์” เพื่อนำไปสนับสนุนกิจการด้านการช่วยเหลือเด็กและสตรีของมูลนิธิฯ ณ มูลนิธิปวีณาหงสกุลเพื่อเด็กและสตรี ต.ลำผักกูด อ.ธัญบุรี จ.ปทุมธานี โดยรายได้ดังกล่าวเป็นกิจกรรมต่อยอดของเยาวชนจากค่ายเสริมสร้างวิชาชีพ ในโครงการเครือสหวิริยาซัมเมอร์แคมป์ ซึ่งได้สอนวิธีการประกอบอาหารคาวหวานอย่างง่ายให้แก่เยาวชนเพื่อนำไปใช้ในชีวิตประจำวันและเป็นพื้นฐานในการประกอบอาชีพ ซึ่งนอกเหนือจากการส่งเสริมการพัฒนาตนของเยาวชนในท้องถิ่นและส่งเสริมการใช้เวลาว่างให้เกิดประโยชน์แล้ว ยังเป็นการปลูกฝังเยาวชนในท้องถิ่นให้มีความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคมอีกด้วย
SSI launched Bangsaphan Conservation Youth Camp #6
Sahaviriya Steel Industries PCL collaborated with Prachuap Khirikhan Educational Elementary Service Office Area 1 arranged “Conservation Youth Camp # 6” for more than 80 students from 43 schools in Bangsaphan area. This 3 day 2 night camp has been held from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th October 2010 at Bangsaphan Kindergarten School. The activities consisted of 5 knowledge camps: Coastal Ecology Camp, Forest Ecology Camp, Mangrove Ecology Camp, Waste Management – Energy Saving Camp and Sufficient Economy and Conservationists Camp. The purposes were to encourage the Bangsaphan’s youth to learn about conservation of their local natural resources and environment. This project was part of environmental activities supported by SSI to encourage the community to sustainable preserve environment.
เอสเอสไอ จัดโครงค่ายนักอนุรักษ์ รุ่นเยาว์ ครั้งที่ 6
บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) ร่วมกับ สำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาจังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ เขต 1 จัดโครงการ “ค่ายนักอนุรักษ์รุ่นเยาว์ รุ่นที่ 6” ให้เยาวชนในพื้นที่บางสะพาน กว่า 43 โรงเรียน จำนวน 80 คน ร่วมทำกิจกรรมเข้าค่ายพักค้างแรม เป็นเวลา 3 วัน 2 คืน ตั้งแต่วันที่ 8-10 ต.ค. 53 ณ โรงเรียนอนุบาลบางสะพาน โดยมี 5 ฐานการเรียนรู้ คือ ฐานระบบนิเวศชายฝั่งทะเล ฐานระบบนิเวศป่าไม้ ฐานระบบนิเวศป่าชายเลน ฐานการเรียนรู้เรื่องขยะ – การประหยัดพลังงาน และฐานเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงกับนักอนุรักษ์ เพื่อเป็นการส่งเสริมให้เยาวชนได้เรียนรู้เรื่องของการอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรและสิ่งแวดล้อมทางธรรมชาติในท้องถิ่น ค่ายนักอนุรักษ์รุ่นเยาว์นี้ เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของกิจกรรมด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมที่เอสเอสไอให้การสนับสนุนให้ชุมชนอยู่ร่วมกันเพื่อรักษาคุณภาพสิ่งแวดล้อมอย่างยั่งยืน
