SSI’s Beach beautifying on World Environment Day

Thawil Chantrawaranulak, Senior Assistant District Chief Officer of Bangsaphan together with Mr. Win Viriyaprapaikit , President of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc. (SSI) led management team, staff and local people participate in “SSI Beach Clean Up 2010“ an environmental preservation activity on the occasion of International World Environment Day, 5 June 2010. The activity consisted of cleaning up Mae Rumphueng Beach along 3 kilometers and also beautifying the surrounding scenery of its parks. The objective is to cultivate consciousness mind for natural and environmental preservation to local people.

They also presented the certificate of honor to 1. Mr. Chawalit Kedkeaw, Director of Bangsaphan Kindergarten 2. Mr. Prasit Muanwong , a group leader of Phong Prasas organic fertilizer group and 3. Ban Pak Khlong Conservation Group in recognition and appreciation of people and organization who has significant role to preserve the environments.

This project was organized by SSI in cooperation with Mae Rumphueng Sub District Administration Organization, restaurant & hotel business operators and Bangsaphan People.

เอสเอสไอจัดกิจกรรมฅนเหล็กรักษ์โลก วันสิ่งแวดล้อมโลก 2553

นายถวิล ฉันทาวรานุรักษ์ ปลัดอาวุโส อำเภอบางสะพาน และ นายวิน วิริยะประไพกิจ กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ เอสเอสไอ นำคณะผู้บริหาร พนักงานเอสเอสไอ และประชาชนในพื้นที่ตำบลแม่รำพึง กว่า 400 คน ร่วมกิจกรรมโครงการ “เอสเอสไอ…รักษ์ชายหาด” (SSI Beach Clean-Up) โดยร่วมกันเก็บขยะและปรับปรุงภูมิทัศน์เป็นระยะทางรวมกว่า 3 กิโลเมตร เนื่องในวันสิ่งแวดล้อมโลก ประจำปี 2553 เพื่อส่งเสริมการมีส่วนร่วมในการอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อม และลดภาวะโลกร้อน พร้อมทั้งมอบประกาศเกียรติคุณให้กับ นาย ชวลิต เกษแก้ว ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนอนุบาลบางสะพาน นายประสิทธิ์ เหมือนวงศ์ หัวหน้ากลุ่ม ธนาคารปุ๋ยอินทรีย์พงศ์ประศาสน์ และกลุ่มอนุรักษ์คลองบ้านปากปิด ในฐานะกลุ่มบุคคลตัวอย่างที่ดีในการสนับสนุนและส่งเสริมกิจกรรมด้านการดูแลรักษาทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมของชุมชน ณ หาดแม่รำพึง อ.บางสะพาน จ. ประจวบคีรีขันธ์
กิจกรรมดังกล่าวเกิดขึ้นโดยความร่วมมือ ระหว่าง เอสเอสไอ องค์การบริการส่วนตำบลแม่รำพึง ผู้ประกอบการโรงแรม ร้านค้า และประชาชนในเขตอำเภอบางสะพาน

SSI’s HRC is certified by 3 world class certification bodies

Mr. Kittisak Mapanao, Vice President of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited or SSI, together with the management team and the employees jointly celebrated and congratulated on the occasion that the Company has successfully developed its product quality and received world class certificates from three certification bodies which have been accepted worldwide, i.e. Det Norske Verita (DNV, Norway), Lloyd’s Register (England) and the most recent one is from Bureau Veritas (BV, France) for premium quality products in grades BV-A, BV-B and BV-D which cover products for use in ship building industry and other related industries, i.e. boiler and pressure vessel and petroleum support base.

3 สถาบันระดับโลกการันตีเหล็กแผ่นรีดร้อนเอสเอสไอ

นายกิตติศักดิ์ มาพะเนาว์ ผู้ช่วยกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่สายการผลิต พร้อมผู้บริหารและพนักงาน บมจ.สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี หรือเอสเอสไอ ร่วมแสดงความยินดีเนื่องในโอกาสที่ผลิตภัณฑ์เหล็กแผ่นรีดร้อนชนิดม้วนชั้นคุณภาพพิเศษเกรด BV-A, BV-B และ BV-D ของเอสเอสไอ ได้รับการรับรองคุณภาพมาตรฐานผลิตภัณฑ์จาก 3 สถาบันรับรองระดับโลก ได้แก่ Det Norske Veritas (DNV, Norway), Lloyd’s Register, England และ Bureau Veritas (BV), France ผลิตภัณฑ์ดังกล่าวเหมาะสำหรับใช้เป็นวัตถุดิบในกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมต่อเรือ และอุตสาหกรรมที่เกี่ยวข้อง อาทิ หม้อต้มน้ำความดันสูง และ อุตสาหกรรมขุดเจาะน้ำมัน

SSI records highest HFL Production

Mr. Kittisak Mapanao, Vice President of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SSI), revealed that due to the strong growth in sales, SSI has broken a new record in May 2010: it achieved a production of 197,308 tons in one month on its hot finishing line (HFL), beating its previous record of 189,140 tons (March 2010). In 2010, the company targets 187,000 tons of HFL production per month. Earlier this year, new records for both monthly and quarterly production and shipment of hot rolled coils (HRC) have already been established by SSI. These are top records among steel companies in Thailand.

The Hot Finishing Line (HFL) is an additional process line, which increases the quality of the hot-rolled steel sheets in order to meet the client’s requirements. This line also cuts the sheets into pieces having the weight requested by the customer. Moreover, the surface quality and product dimensions are inspected at the hot finishing line.

หน่วยปรับปรุงคุณภาพเหล็กแผ่นรีดร้อน SSIทำสถิติสูงสุด 1.97 แสนตัน

นายกิตติศักดิ์ มาพะเนาว์ ผู้ช่วยกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ สายการผลิต บริษัทสหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ เอสเอสไอ เปิดเผยว่า เพื่อรองรับคำสั่งซื้อจากลูกค้าอันเนื่องจากยอดขายของบริษัทเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องตั้งแต่ต้นปี นอกจากจะส่งผลให้บริษัททำสถิติสูงสุดของบริษัทผู้ผลิตเหล็กในประเทศไทยทั้งในด้านการผลิต และการส่งมอบผลิตภัณฑ์ ทั้งรายเดือนและรายไตรมาสแล้ว ล่าสุด หน่วยปรับปรุงคุณภาพของเหล็กแผ่นรีดร้อนชนิดม้วนให้เหมาะสมกับความต้องการใช้งานของลูกค้า (Hot Finishing Line หรือ HFL) ของบริษัท ที่อำเภอบางสะพาน จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ได้ทำสถิติผลิตได้สูงสุดถึง 197,308 ตัน ต่อเดือน เมื่อเดือนพฤษภาคม 2553 ที่ผ่านมา จากที่เคยทำสถิติผลิตได้สูงสุดถึง 189,140 ตัน เมื่อเดือนมีนาคม 2553 ที่ผ่านมา ทั้งนี้บริษัทตั้งเป้าหมายการผลิตในส่วนของ HFL 1.87 แสนตันต่อเดือน

Hot Finishing Line (HFL) เป็นส่วนของกระบวนการผลิตเพิ่มเติม สำหรับปรับปรุงคุณภาพของเหล็กแผ่นรีดร้อนชนิดม้วนที่ไม่ใช่คุณสมบัติทางกลให้เหมาะสมตามการใช้งานของลูกค้า หรือตัดแบ่งให้มีน้ำหนักตามที่ลูกค้าต้องการ รวมทั้งเป็นเครื่องตรวจสอบคุณภาพผิวและรูปทรงของผลิตภัณฑ์อีกด้วย

SSI Sponsorship for Phra Dabos Instructors

According to “SSI Sponsorship for Phra Dabos Instructors “, Dr. Maruay Phadoongsighi, Chairman of the Board of Director and Executive Director of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc. (SSI), along with the management team, met with H.E. Air Chief Marshal Kamthon Sinthawanon, Privy Councillor and Chairman of the Phra Dabos Foundation,and H.E. Kasem Wattanachai , Privy Councillor and Secretary of the Phra Dabos Foundation, to present the four year scholarships in the amount of 180,000 baht to the Phra Dabos Foundation,Under His Majesty the King’s patronage. SSI has allocated sponsorship for Phra Dabos graduates to further higher education in order to enable them to share learned knowledge and work for the foundation as instructors or heads of divisions to educate the next batch. SSI plans to create 10 Phra Dabos (high vocational Certificate, undergraduate and graduate levels) within a period of four years (2007-2010). There are now two students graduated and able to become an instructor.

เอสเอสไอสร้างครูพระดาบส

ดร.มารวย ผดุงสิทธิ์ ประธานกรรมการและกรรมการบริหาร บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ เอสเอสไอ นำคณะผู้บริหารบริษัทฯ เข้าพบ ฯพณฯ พลอากาศเอกกำธน สินทวานนท์ องคมนตรี และประธานมูลนิธิพระดาบส และ ฯพณฯ นายแพทย์เกษม วัฒนชัย องคมนตรี และเลขานุการมูลนิธิพระดาบส เพื่อมอบทุนการศึกษาตามโครงการ “ทุนการศึกษาเอสเอสไอ สร้างครูพระดาบส” ปีที่ 4 จำนวน 180,000 บาท ซึ่งโครงการดังกล่าวเป็นการสนับสนุนทุนการศึกษาต่อเนื่องรวม 4 ปี (2550-2553) ให้แก่ศิษย์พระดาบสที่สำเร็จการศึกษาแล้วให้ได้รับการศึกษาต่อเนื่องในระดับสูงขึ้นทั้งใน ระดับประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพชั้นสูง(ปวส.) ระดับอนุปริญญา  ระดับปริญญาตรี และระดับปริญญาโท เพื่อนำความรู้ที่ได้มาถ่ายทอดและสร้างประโยชน์ให้กับมูลนิธิทั้งในรูปแบบของการเป็นครูผู้สอนหรือหัวหน้าหน่วยงานในการสร้างศิษย์รุ่นต่อไป โดยบริษัทมีเป้าหมายที่จะร่วมสร้างครูพระดาบสจำนวน 10 คน ซึ่งปัจจุบันมีศิษย์พระดาบสสำเร็จการศึกษาและสามารถปฏิบัติหน้าที่ครูได้แล้วจำนวน 2 คน

SSI cleans up the beach on World Environment Day

On the occasion of International World Environment Day 2009, 5 June 2010, SSI’s employees in cooperation with restaurant & hotel business operators would like to invite local people to join “SSI Beach Clean Up”, an environmental preservation activity with a focus on cleaning up Mae Rumphueng Beach along 3-4 kilometers and beautifying the surrounding scenery of its parks during 08.00-12.00 hrs.
SSI realized that the responsibility to the environmental and community resources is an essential part of our business. Therefore, the company has organized a lot of environmental related-activities in the community in order to create environmental and natural resources awareness, and promote understanding regarding ways to conserve them.

เอสเอสไอจัดกิจกรรมทำความสะอาดชายหาดวันสิ่งแวดล้อมโลก

เนื่องในโอกาสวันสิ่งแวดล้อมโลก วันเสาร์ที่ 5 มิถุนายน 2553 ที่จะถึงนี้ โดยพนักงานเอสเอสไอร่วมกับผู้ประกอบการร้านค้าและโรงแรมชายหาดแม่รำพึง ขอเชิญชวนประชาชนในพื้นที่ร่วมกันดำเนินโครงการอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อมภายใต้ชื่อโครงการ “เอสเอสไอรักษ์ชายหาด” โดยจะร่วมกันทำความสะอาด เก็บขยะตลอดแนวชายหาดแม่รำพึงเป็นระยะทาง 3-4 กิโลเมตร และปรับปรุงภูมิทัศน์บริเวณสวนสาธารณะชายหาดตั้งแต่เวลา 08.30-12.00 น. ณ หาดแม่รำพึง อ.บางสะพาน จ. ประจวบคีรีขันธ์
เอสเอสไอยึดมั่นว่าความรับผิดชอบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมและทรัพยากรชุมชนถือเป็นหน้าที่สำคัญในการดำเนินธุรกิจ บริษัทจึงได้จัดโครงการต่างๆที่เกี่ยวข้องมากมายเพื่อสร้างให้เกิดความตระหนัก หวงแหนทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม รวมถึงความเข้าใจวิธีการที่จะช่วยรักษาสิ่งแวดล้อมในชุมชนอีกด้วย
