After the successfully achievement of the two SSI volunteering projects on development of community learning center for Sai Phet Village and development of technical workshop building for Bang Saphan Iron & Steel Technology Institute which having the good cooperation from the management team and the SSI officers, the 3rd Volunteering Project will be arranged in November 29, 2008. This new project is the renovation of the kindergarten building and the surrounding landscape of Donsamran School as some parts of the building is in decay state, lack of good taking-care and maintenance and it is the collaboration between the SSI management, the SSI officers and the local people in Donsamran Village. Since the renovation will be performed during the school break, so it is the good timing and the students can study in the newly renovated building on the opening of the academic term. Apart from this work, the participants shall also participate in making a merit by donating paints and paint the new sermon hall of Donsamran Temple as well.

The benefits gained from this project, apart from doing good deeds to the society, are that they can build up the participation spirits of SSI people towards the community development in a greater level, which is in line with the social responsibility missions, to expand the sustainable community networks concretely and enhance the people network further more.

เอสเอสไออาสา3 : ปรับปรุงอาคารเรียนชั้นอนุบาล โรงเรียนบ้านดอนสำราญ

หลังจากประสบความสำเร็จในโครงการเอสเอสไออาสา2ครั้งที่ผ่านมา โดยการพัฒนาศูนย์เรียนรู้ชุมชนหมู่บ้านสายเพชร และ การพัฒนาอาคารปฏิบัติการช่างให้กับ วิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีการจัดการเหล็กและเหล็กกล้าบางโดยได้รับความร่วมมือเป็นอย่างดีจากคณะผู้บริหารและพนักงานเอสเอสไอจึงได้จัด โครงการ เอสเอสไอ อาสา ครั้งที่ 3 ขึ้น ในวันที่ 29 พฤศจิกายนนี้ โดยการนำ คณะผู้บริหารและพนักงานบริษัท ร่วมกับประชาชนในพื้นที่บ้านดอนสำราญร่วมกันปรับปรุงอาคารเรียนชั้นอนุบาลและภูมิทัศน์โดยรอบโรงเรียนบ้านดอนสำราญ โดยบางส่วนของอาคารเรียนมีสภาพชำรุด ขาดการดูแลและซ่อมแซม และเนื่องจากเป็นช่วงปิดเทอมจึงสะดวกแก่การซ่อมแซมอาคารดังกล่าว เพื่อให้นักเรียนมีอาคารเรียนที่พร้อมใช้ในช่วงเปิดเทอม นอกจากนี้ยังร่วมกับร่วมทำบุญสังฆทานสีและทางสีศาลาการเปรียญกลังใหม่ของวัดดอนสำราญอีกด้วย
นอกจากโครงการดังกล่าว จะเป็นการสร้างประโยชน์เพื่อสังคมแล้ว ยังเป็นการสร้างการมีส่วนร่วมของพนักงานต่อการพัฒนาชุมชนให้มากขึ้น ตามพันธกิจความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคม เพื่อการขยายเครือข่ายชุมชนอย่างยั่งยืนได้อย่างเป็นรูปธรรมได้มากขึ้น และสามารถสร้างเครือข่ายภาคประชาชนได้ต่อไป
