สี่บริษัทเหล็ก SSI – TCRSS – BSL – SUS ร่วมแถลงข่าวจัดกิจกรรมการแข่งขันเดิน – วิ่งการกุศล ฅนเหล็กมินิมาราธอน ครั้งที่ 5 “Thailand Iron Man Mini Marathon 2012” 3 พฤศจิกายนนี้ เพื่อหารายได้ช่วยเหลือและสร้างความแข็งแกร่งให้กับผู้ด้อยโอกาส เผยมีผู้สนใจตอบรับสนับสนุนปีนี้แล้ว 2.2 ล้านบาท คิดเป็นเงินรายได้ที่มอบให้มูลนิธิเพื่อผู้ด้อยโอกาสรวมจากการจัดกิจกรรม 5 ครั้ง กว่า 10 ล้านบาท มอบแก่ 23 องค์กรเพื่อผู้ด้อยโอกาส พร้อมจับมือพันธมิตรขยายแนวคิดกิจกรรมสร้างความแข็งแกร่งเพื่อสังคมนี้ไปสู่ผู้มีส่วนได้เสียทุกกลุ่ม
          เมื่อวันที่ 18 ตุลาคม 2555 ณ ห้องสีลม2 โรงแรมฮอลิเดย์ อินน์ สีลม กรุงเทพฯ 4 บริษัท ประกอบด้วย บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน)  (SSI) บริษัท เหล็กแผ่นรีดเย็นไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) (TCRSS) บริษัท สยามยูไนเต็ดสตีล (1995) จำกัด (SUS) และบริษัท บลูสโคป สตีล (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด  (BSL)  ร่วมแถลงข่าวเปิดตัว การแข่งขัน เดิน-วิ่งการกุศล ฅนเหล็กมินิมาราธอน ครั้งที่ 5  “Thailand Iron Man Mini Marathon 2012” ซึ่งจะจัดขึ้น ณ ลานตะวันยิ้ม สวนลุมพินี กรุงเทพฯ ในวันที่ 3 พฤศจิกายน 2555
          นางสาววรรณา ตั้งเจริญจริง ผู้ช่วยกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ สายธุรกิจ บริษัทสหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ เอสเอสไอ กล่าวถึง “Thailand Iron Man Mini Marathon 2012” ว่า “หลังจากเอสเอสไอได้เริ่มจัดการแข่งขัน ฅนเหล็กมินิมาราธอน ครั้งที่ 1 มาจนถึง ฅนเหล็กมินิมาราธอน ครั้งที่ 4 ซึ่งประสบความสำเร็จและได้รับการตอบรับเป็นอย่างดีมาตลอด โดยมีคู่ค้า พันธมิตร หน่วยงาน ทั้งภาครัฐ และเอกชน ตลอดจนพนักงานในเครือบริษัท และประชาชนทั่วไป ให้ความสนใจเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมกว่า 1,500 คน รวมถึงผู้บริหาร พนักงานขององค์กรร่วมจัดและ หน่วยงานธุรกิจร่วมสนับสนุน  โดยฅนเหล็กมินิมาราธอน ครั้งที่ 5 นี้สามารถหารายได้มอบแก่มูลนิธิเพื่อผู้ด้อยโอกาสได้ในปีนี้แล้ว 2.2 ล้านบาท (ณ วันที่ 15 ต.ค. 55) รวมเป็นรายได้จากการจัด 5 ครั้ง กว่า 10 ล้านบาท มอบให้มูลนิธิเพื่อผู้ด้อยโอกาส องค์กรดูแลผู้พิการ องค์กรด้านสิทธิมนุษยชน และสถานพยาบาลและดูแลผู้ป่วย รวม 23 องค์กร”
          “นับเป็นเรื่องน่ายินดีอย่างยิ่งเพราะนอกจากจะสะท้อนถึงความสำเร็จในการสร้างความแข็งแกร่งให้ผู้ด้อยโอกาสอย่างต่อเนื่องแล้ว ยังสร้างความตระหนักและให้ความสำคัญต่อการออกกำลังกายเพื่อสุขภาพ โดยเอสเอสไอหวังจะขยายแนวคิดนี้ไปยังผู้มีส่วนได้เสียทุกคนเพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้ทุกคนมีส่วนร่วมในกิจกรรมเพื่อสังคมเป็นวงกว้าง ซึ่งความสำเร็จที่เกิดขึ้นจะไม่สามารถเกิดขึ้นได้ ถ้าปราศจากการประสานความร่วมมือและผนึกกำลังอย่างต่อเนื่องของพันมิตรทั้ง 4 และผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องทุกคน”

          คุณไพโรจน์ ธีรธนพฤทธิ์ ผู้จัดการประจำฝ่ายขาย บริษัท สยามยูไนเต็ดสตีล (1995) จำกัด (SUS) กล่าวว่า “บริษัทเล็งเห็นโอกาสที่สังคม โดยเฉพาะผู้ด้อยโอกาส ที่จะได้รับเงินรายได้จากการจัดกิจกรรม มอบให้หน่วยงาน มูลนิธิ องค์กร เพื่อผู้ด้อยโอกาสทั่วไประเทศ ได้นำไปใช้เสริมและพัฒนาศักยภาพตนเอง ยังเกิดประโยชน์ในด้านการสร้างสุขภาพที่แข็งแรงให้ผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรม และเสริมความสัมพันธ์ ที่แข็งแกร่งระหว่าง พนักงาน คู่ค้า พันธมิตรและกลุ่มผู้ประกอบการอุตสาหกรรมเหล็ก ที่ไม่เพียงแต่เราจะมีส่วนสร้างรากฐานความมั่นคงให้เศรษฐกิจของประเทศแล้ว เรายังมีส่วนเสริมและเป็นกำลังสำคัญในการรวมพลังกันทำกิจกรรมดีๆ เพื่อสร้างความแข็งแกร่งให้เพื่อนร่วมสังคมอีกด้วย”
          สำหรับกิจกรรมการแข่งขันเดิน-วิ่งการกุศล ฅนเหล็กมินิมาราธอน  ครั้งที่ 5 “Thailand Iron Man Mini Marathon 2012” จะแบ่งเป็น 2 ประเภท ได้แก่
          – การแข่งขันเดิน-วิ่ง มินิมาราธอน 5 กม. (2 รอบ สวนลุมพินี) ปล่อยตัวเวลา 06.00 น. แบ่งกลุ่มอายุดังนี้
                 ชาย  อายุไม่เกิน 15 / 16-39 / 40-49 / 50 ปีขึ้นไป
                 หญิง อายุไม่เกิน 15 / 16-39 / 40 ปีขึ้นไป
          – เดิน-วิ่ง เพื่อสุขภาพ2.5 กม.(1 รอบ สวนลุมฯ)  ปล่อยตัวเวลา 06.00 น. ไม่มีการแข่งขัน ไม่แบ่งกลุ่มอายุ

4 Steel Alliances Jointly Arrange
“The 5^th Thailand Iron Man Mini Marathon 2012”
To Raise Fund to Build up Strength of Vulnerable People Nationwide

 SSI – TCRSS – BSL – SUS, the four steel alliances, jointly participated in the press conference on the “5^th Thailand Iron Man Mini Marathon 2012” to be held on November 3, 2012 to raise fund to help and build up strength of the underprivileged. Currently the supporting fund gained from this year event is 2.2 million Baht, which increase the total funds, gathered from these events for 5 years that have been contributed to 23 organizations for the vulnerable people, to more than 10 million Baht. These alliances shall be cooperated to expand concept on arranging the activities to build up strength for the society to all stakeholders.
          On October 18, 2012 at Silom Room 2, Holiday Inn Hotel, Silom, Bangkok, four steel companies which are Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SSI), Thai Cold Roll Steel Sheet Public Company Limited (TCRSS), Siam United Steel (1995) Company Limited (SUS) and BlueScope Steel (Thailand) Company Limited (BSL) participated in the press conference on the arrangement of the “5^th Thailand Iron Man Mini Marathon 2012”. This event will be taken place at Smiling Sun Ground, Lumpini Park, Bangkok, on November 3, 2012.
          Ms. Wanna Tangcharoenching, Vice President of Commercial Division of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited or SSI said about ‘the Thailand Iron Man Mini Marathon 2012’ that “SSI has arranged Thailand Iron Man Mini Marathon for 4 years and all of them were successfully and received favorable feedback. More than 1,500 people who were business partners, alliances, organizations both from private and public sectors as well as the employees within the group of companies and general people participated and the executives, the employees of the participating organizers including the business units supported these events. The funds raised from this event as of October 15, 2012 was up to 2.2 million Baht. Hence, total funds raised from 5 events were more than 10 million Baht and they have been donated to 23 charity organizations which included the foundations for vulnerable people, the organizations responsible for protecting the disabled, the human rights organizations and the nursing home for the patients.”
          “It is a very great pleasure because apart from successfully build up the strength to the underprivileged on continued basis, these activities can also create awareness on importance of exercising for health. SSI hopes that this concept shall be expanded to all stakeholders, so that everyone can have more chance to participate in the social activities. This success cannot be achieved without constant collaboration of the 4 alliances and all concerned parties.”
          Mr. Nava Chantanasurakon, President of Thai Cold Roll Steel Sheet Public Company Limited or TCRSS said that “I am glad to participate and maintain the activity to build up strength of the underprivileged like Thailand Iron Man Mini Marathon 2012. As always, we have steel industries alliances to fortify this activity continually. I would like to thank SSI, BSL and SUS for making this event happen. TCRSS places importance on social responsibility activities and we always keep on reviewing our business operation as well as emphasizing on the societies and the communities that we operate our business, mainly in the communities, the youth and the vulnerable groups because we believe that by powering up strength of these groups of people, they can develop their potential at the fullest extent.”
          Mr. Dechakom Boonma, Vice President of Marketing Division of BlueScope Steel (Thailand) Company Limited or BSL said that “BSL realizes and puts emphasis on the arrangement and the support of social activities continually, particularly the capacity building and development of various potential of the personnel who are regarded as important resources. The arrangement of Iron Man Mini Marathon is correspondingly to the business operation guidelines of BSL. I am very grateful to be a part in this arrangement and to offer opportunities to the societies every year, especially to vulnerable people, so, they can robustly develop their potentials with full strength.
           Mr. Pairote Theerathanapurt, Siam United Steel (1995) Company Limited or SUS said that “the Company foresees the opportunities that the society, especially the underprivileged, can receive funds from this event and to donate to the organizations and foundations for vulnerable people countrywide, so they can strengthen and develop their potential. In addition, this activity is also useful as it can make the participants healthy and it can also boost up relationship between the employees, partners, alliances and group of entrepreneurs in the steel industries. We do not only play a part in laying down the solid foundation to the national economic but we also are the important force in creating good activities to the societies as well.”
          The activity under the 5^th Iron Man Mini Marathon 2012 is divided into 2 categories as follows:
          –  Mini Marathon 5 Km. (2 rounds of Lumpini Park). Starting time 06.00 a.m.
                  Male: Under 15 / 16-39 / 40-49 / 50 & over
                  Female: Under 15 / 16-39 / 40 & over
          –  Walk-Run 2.5 Km. (1 round of Lumpini Park). Starting time: 06.00 a.m.
                  Male-Female Open (Non Competitive)
          Awards for the 1-5^th finishers, both male/female shall be trophies and cash prizes. All runners and walkers for 2 categories who reach the finishing line within the specified time shall receive the medal.
