Prachuap Port prepares for emergency

          Prachuap Port Co., Ltd. (PPC), a subsidiary of SSI, conducted PPC Emergency Response Plan Drill 2012 for the 9th consecutive year. This practice aimed at preparing PPC staff to use oil containment boom in case of major oil leakage from ships, transferring or delivering products at the port and emergency case. PPC staff enjoyed this practice together at Prachuap Port, Port A on 25 June 2012.

          Prachuap Port has a 1,000 metre oil containment boom which is oil leakage controlling equipment, using to control and eliminate oil leakage in the area. PPC emphasizes this practice as it is company’s standard of environmental management which has been adhered for many years.

ท่าเรือประจวบฝึกซ้อมการใช้ทุ่นกักน้ำมัน
          บริษัท ท่าเรือประจวบ จำกัด จัดซ้อมแผนฉุกเฉิน (ทุ่นกักน้ำมัน) ประจำปี 2555 ต่อเนื่องเป็นปีที่ 9 เพื่อให้พนักงานได้ทบทวนแนวทางปฏิบัติ ฝึกฝนให้เกิดความชำนาญ และความพร้อมหากเกิดกรณีน้ำมันหกรั่วไหลลงสู่ทะเลจากเรือที่เข้ามาเทียบท่าขนถ่ายสินค้า หรือเรือผู้เข้ามารับฝากส่งมอบสินค้า รวมถึงเหตุฉุกเฉิน โดยมีพนักงานเข้าร่วมฝึกซ้อมกันอย่างพร้อมเพรียง ณ ท่าเทียบเรือประจวบ ท่า A เมื่อวันที่ 25 มิถุนายน 2555 ที่ผ่านมา

          ท่าเรือประจวบมีทุ่นกักน้ำมันที่มีความยาวถึง 1,000 เมตร เป็นอุปกรณ์ในการกักคราบน้ำมันและป้องกันพื้นที่ในกรณีน้ำมันหกรั่วไหลลงสู่ทะเล การฝึกซ้อมการใช้ทุ่นกักน้ำมัน ดังกล่าวเป็นไปตามมาตรฐานการจัดการด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม ซึ่งบริษัทให้ความสำคัญอย่างต่อเนื่องมาโดยตลอด

4 companies of Sahaviriya Group (SSI-TCRSS-BSM-PPC) won Outstanding Award for Safety, Occupational Health and Environment 2012

          Sahaviriya Group (SVG) marks another successful year and has been recognized for its safety performance and work environment initiatives, as 4 companies in SVG have won the “Outstanding Award for Safety, Occupational Health and Environment 2012” from the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare. This is the national most valuable award. The 4 companies are:
     1. Thai Cold Rolled Steel Sheet Plc  (won the award for 6 consecutive years)
     2. Prachuap Port Co. Ltd. (won the award for 2 consecutive years)
     3. B.S. Metal Co. Ltd. (Branch1) (won the award for 2 consecutive years)
    4. Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc (won the award for 2 rd consecutive year)

          The award ceremony giving by the prime minister will be held at the Thai Safety Week 26th during 5-7 July 2012 at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre, Bangna, Bangkok. This event has been organized to promote Safety, Occupational Health and Environment, which aims at reducing accident and occupational disease for employees. The award reflects the determination in adhering to safety management, occupational health and environmental management of SVG for their employees.

รับรางวัลสถานประกอบการความปลอดภัยดีเด่นระดับประเทศปี 2555

          นับเป็นอีกปีหนึ่งที่เครือสหวิริยาประสบความสำเร็จในด้านการดำเนินงานด้านความปลอดภัย   อาชีวอนามัยและสิ่งแวดล้อม โดยกรมสวัสดิการและคุ้มครองแรงงาน กระทรวงแรงงาน ประกาศผลการพิจารณาการประกวด “สถานประกอบการดีเด่นด้านความปลอดภัย อาชีวอนามัย และสภาพแวดล้อมในการทำงาน” ปี 2555 ผลปรากฎว่า 4 บริษัทในเครือสหวิริยาได้รับรางวัล “สถานประกอบการดีเด่นด้านความปลอดภัย อาชีวอนามัย และสภาพแวดล้อมในการทำงาน” ซึ่งเป็นรางวัลสูงสุดในระดับประเทศประจำปี โดย 4 บริษัทได้แก่
          1. บริษัท เหล็กแผ่นรีดเย็น จำกัด (มหาชน) (ได้รับรางวัลติดต่อกัน 6 ปี)
          2. บริษัท ท่าเรือประจวบ จำกัด (ได้รับรางวัลติดต่อกัน 2 ปี)
          3. บริษัท บี.เอส.เมทัล จำกัด สาขา 1 (ได้รับรางวัลติดต่อกัน 2 ปี)
          4. บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) (ได้รับรางวัลติดต่อกัน 1 ปี)

          ทั้งนี้พิธีมอบรางวัลโดยนายกรัฐมนตรี จะจัดขึ้นในงานสัปดาห์ความปลอดภัยในการทำงานแห่งชาติ ครั้งที่ 26   ในระหว่างวันที่ 5  – 7 กรกฎาคม 2555 ณ ศูนย์นิทรรศการและการประชุมไบเทค  บางนา กรุงเทพมหานคร  งานดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นเพื่อส่งเสริมการดำเนินงานด้านความปลอดภัย อาชีวอนามัยและสิ่งแวดล้อมขององค์กรเอกชน โดยมีหัวใจสำคัญคือ ลดอุบัติเหตุและโรคจากสภาพการทำงานของลูกจ้าง ซึ่งถือได้ว่ารางวัลนี้เป็นการแสดงถึงความมุ่งมั่นในการรักษามาตรฐานด้านการจัดการความปลอดภัย  อาชีวอนามัยและสภาพแวดล้อมในการทำงานของบริษัทในเครือ เพื่อความปลอดภัยในการทำงานของพนักงาน

A Handover of PPC Shore Crane Key

          Mr. Thavorn Cananub, Acting Managing Director of Prachuap Port Co. Ltd. or PPC, has recently received the key of Mobile Harbour Cranes from Mr. Vudhikorn Luanvudhi, a representative of Machine Technology Co. Ltd.,a contractor of Gottwald Port Technology GmbH. The PPC Shore Crane Project has successfully installed and been ready to be used since 18 April 2012. It was used to discharge the first lot of 48,000 tonnes steel slab valued at US$30 million which had produced by SSI Teesside, the United Kingdom and were shipped to Thailand by the vessel named “BLUE FIN” in order to be used as raw material to produce hot-rolled coil at SSI Bangsaphan plant. The shipment arrived at Prachuap Port, Bangsaphan on 15 June 2012.

           PPC has invested in PPC Shore Crane Project by installing two 100-ton Mobile Habour Cranes of Gottwald Port Technology GmbH worth EUR 6,580,000 or Bt. 280 million. This project will enhance discharging and loading capability of steel slabs and other cargoes, according to the plan to reduce transportation cost by US$ 7.5/ton by utilizing a large Panamax vessel.

 ท่าเรือประจวบรับมอบกุญแจเครนหน้าท่า

          นายถาวร  คณานับ รักษาการกรรมการผู้จัดการ บริษัท ท่าเรือประจวบ จำกัด หรือ PPC รับมอบกุญแจเครนปั้นจั่นหน้าท่าล้อยางขับเคลื่อนด้วยตัวเอง    ( Mobile Harbour Cranes)   จากนายวุฒิกร  ล้วนวุฑฒิ  ผู้แทนจากบริษัท แมชชีน เทคโนโลยี่ จำกัด ผู้รับเหมาช่วงของก็อดวาลด์ พอร์ท เทคโนโลยี จำกัด หลังจากโครงการเครนหน้าท่าPPC ติดตั้งเสร็จพร้อมใช้งานตั้งแต่วันที่ 18 เมษายน 2555 และได้ใช้ขนถ่ายเหล็กแท่งแบนล็อตแรกของเอสเอสไอ ปริมาณ 48,000 ตัน คิดเป็นมูลค่าประมาณ 30 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ ที่ผลิตโดยโรงงานเอสเอสไอ ทีไซด์ ประเทศอังกฤษและได้ลำเลียงทางเรือชื่อ BLUE FIN มายังประเทศไทย เพื่อให้โรงงานเอสเอสไอบางสะพานใช้ผลิตเป็นเหล็กแผ่นรีดร้อน โดยเรือลำดังกล่าวเข้าเทียบท่าที่ท่าเรือประจวบ อำเภอบางสะพานในวันที่ 15 มิถุนายน 2555 ที่ผ่านมา

           บริษัท ท่าเรือประจวบ จำกัด ได้ลงทุน โครงการเครนหน้าท่า PPC โดยติดตั้งปั้นจั่นหน้าท่าล้อยางขับเคลื่อนด้วยตัวเอง ( Mobile Harbour Cranes) รุ่น GHMK 6407B ขนาด 100 ตัน จำนวน 2 ตัว มูลค่ารวมกว่า 6,580,000 ยูโร หรือประมาณ 280 ล้านบาท ของบริษัท Gottwald Port Technology จำกัดโครงการนี้จะช่วยเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการขนถ่ายเหล็กแท่งแบนและผลิตภัณฑ์เหล็กอื่นๆ ซึ่งตามแผนจะช่วยลดต้นทุนค่าขนส่งได้ประมาณ 7.5 เหรียญสหรัฐฯต่อตันจากการใช้เรือขนาดPanamax ขึ้นไป
