SSI arranges “Bangsaphan Organic Fertilizer Bank Network Dialog: the way to sustainable development”

Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SSI) arranged a community dialog on “Bangsaphan Organic Fertilizer Bank 2012” at Multipurpose Hall, Ban Pordang, Bangsaphan, Prachuap Khiri Khan, on 16 June 2555. There were 34 people participating in the event, including Mr. Anusorn Srikhaolan (representative from the agricultural district of Bangsaphan), the village headman, community leaders and members of organic fertilizer banks under SSI’s support (Ban Thonthonglang , Ban Marrong Moo 4 , 9 Tambon PongPrasasns and Ban Pordang Moo 3 Kamnerdnoppakun organic fertilizer banks). The dialog aimed at concluding the past operating result, discussing sustainable development directions and creating SSI’s organic fertilizer network. As a result, the event has brought collaboration among locals in helping each other with information, production activities, marketing and many more. Moreover, there will be more seminars and network activities in the future.

เอสเอสไอจัดสัมมนาเครือข่ายธนาคารปุ๋ยอินทรีย์สู่ความยั่งยืน

บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) จัดสัมมนาเครือข่ายธนาคารปุ๋ยอินทรีย์ อ.บางสะพาน ปี 2555 เมื่อวันที่ 16 มิถุนายน 2555 ณ ศาลาอเนกประสงค์ บ้านปอแดง อ.บางสะพาน จ.ประจวบคีรีขันธ์ โดยมีนายอนุสรณ์ ศรีเขาล้าน ผู้แทนจากสำนักงานเกษตรอำเภอบางสะพาน ผู้ใหญ่บ้าน ผู้นำชุมชน และสมาชิกกลุ่มธนาคารปุ๋ยอินทรีย์เข้าร่วมประชุมจากกลุ่มที่ยังดำเนินกิจกรรมภายใต้การสนับสนุนของบริษัทฯ ได้แก่ ธนาคารปุ๋ยอินทรีย์บ้านต้นทองหลาง บ้านม้าร้อง ม.4 ม.9 ต.พงศ์ประศาสน์ และ ธนาคารปุ๋ยอินทรีย์บ้านปอแดง ม.3 ต.กำเนิดนพคุณ รวมจำนวน 34 คน โดยการประชุมในครั้งนี้ได้มีการการอภิปรายสรุปบทเรียนในการดำเนินงานที่ผ่านมาร่วมระดมความคิดเพื่อหาแนวทางในการพัฒนากลุ่ม และการสร้างเครือข่ายธนาคารปุ๋ยอินทรีย์ SSI อย่างยั่งยืน ซึ่งผลจากการประชุมดังกล่าวได้มีข้อตกลงความร่วมมือกันในการที่จะช่วยเหลือกันในด้านข้อมูลข่าวสาร การผลิต การตลาดและด้านอื่นๆ พร้อมจะมีการนัดประชุม และทำกิจกรรมร่วมกันในลักษณะเครือข่ายอย่างต่อเนื่องต่อไป

First 48,000 tonnes of SSI UK steel slab shipment arrive Thailand

SSI celebrated the arrival of the first historic steel slab shipment which had been shipped from SSI Teesside to Prachuap Port. This shipment of 48,000 tonnes steel slabs is valued at US$30 million. They will be used as raw material for SSI Bangsaphan’s hot-rolled coil production, generating raw material stability for SSI.

Ms. Wanna Tangcharoenching, Vice President of Commercial Division of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc. (SSI), together with executives and staffs celebrated and welcomed first lot of 48,000 tonnes steel slab shipment valued at US$30 million which had produced by SSI Teesside, the United Kingdom and were shipped by vessel named “BLUE FIN” to Thailand in order to be used to produce hot-rolled coil at SSI Bangsaphan plant. The shipment has arrived Prachuap Port, Bangsaphan on 16 June 2012.
Vice President of Commercial Division revealed that “This first steel slab shipment to Thailand is another significant milestone reached by SSI. This event not only symbolizes our first step towards becoming a world class steel manufacturer, but also signifies the fighting spirit of SSI and our people and proves that “anything is possible”. These steel slabs will be used as raw material for SSI Bangsaphan’s hot-rolled coil production, generating raw material stability for SSI. Moreover, this will increase SSI’s negotiating power in steel slab procurement and enhance cost competitiveness going forward.

เหล็กแท่งแบน SSI UK ล็อตแรก 4.8 หมื่นตันถึงไทยแล้ว

เอสเอสไอจัดต้อนรับเหล็กแท่งแบนประวัติศาสตร์ล็อตแรกที่ลำเลียงมาจาก โรงงานเอสเอสไอ ทีไซด์ประเทศอังกฤษ48,000 ตัน คิดเป็นมูลค่าประมาณ 30 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐมาถึงท่าเรือประจวบ เพื่อสร้างความมั่นคงด้านวัตถุดิบนับเป็นเริ่มต้นของอนาคตที่สดใสระยะยาว

นางสาววรรณา ตั้งเจริญจริง ผู้ช่วยกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่สายธุรกิจ บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ เอสเอสไอ พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหาร และพนักงาน ร่วมฉลองและต้อนรับเหล็กแท่งแบนล็อตแรกของเอสเอสไอ ปริมาณ 48,000 ตัน คิดเป็นมูลค่าประมาณ 30 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ ที่ผลิตโดยโรงงานเอสเอสไอ ทีไซด์ ประเทศอังกฤษและได้ลำเลียงทางเรือชื่อ BLUE FIN มายังประเทศไทย เพื่อให้โรงงานเอสเอสไอบางสะพานใช้ผลิตเป็นเหล็กแผ่นรีดร้อน โดยเรือลำดังกล่าวเข้าเทียบท่าที่ท่าเรือประจวบ อำเภอบางสะพานในวันที่ 16 มิถุนายน 2555 ที่ผ่านมา

ผู้ช่วยกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่สายธุรกิจกล่าวว่า “เหล็กแท่งแบนล็อตแรกจากทีไซด์ที่ลำเลียงสู่สู่ประเทศไทยนับเป็นเหตุการณ์ครั้งสำคัญที่ต้องจารึกไว้สำหรับ เอสเอสไอ ไม่เพียงแต่เป็นการก้าวไปสู่ฐานะของผู้ผลิตเหล็กระดับโลก แต่ยังแสดงให้เห็นจิตใจนักสู้ของเอสเอสไอและพนักงาน และพิสูจน์ว่าไม่มีอะไรเป็นไปไม่ได้ เหล็กแท่งแบนจากเอสเอสไอยูเคซึ่งเป็นวัตถุดิบสำหรับการผลิตเหล็กแผ่นรีดร้อนของโรงงานเอสเอสไอบางสะพาน จะสร้างความมั่นคงด้านวัตถุดิบของเอสเอสไอ ซึ่งถือเป็นการเริ่มต้นของอนาคตที่สดใสระยะยาวของบริษัทเนื่องจากอำนาจต่อรองในการจัดหาเหล็กแท่งแบน และความสามารถในการแข่งขันด้านต้นทุนที่ดีขึ้น”

SSI engages in celebration of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee and Birthday

          British Ambassador Asif Ahmad and Mr. Nava Chantanasurakhon, Vice President, Public Affairs and Social Responsibility Division of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc. (SSI) took a photo together in the celebration of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee and Birthday. The celebration was held at Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel on 14 June 2012. Thailand and the United Kingdom have strong relationship for a long time. Moreover, SSI has invested in iron and steel making plant at Teesside, UK in 2011. This has strengthened the relationship between both countries. The first lot of 48,000 tonnes steel slab shipment valued at US$30 million, which had been produced by SSI Teesside, has arrived at Prachuap Port, Bangsaphan on 15 June 2012.

เอสเอสไอร่วมงานวันเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษาสมเด็จพระราชินีนาถเอลิซาเบธที่สองและฉลอง60 ปีแห่งการครองราชย์

          นายอาซีฟ อาหมัด เอกอัครราชทูตอังกฤษประจำประเทศไทย ถ่ายรูปร่วมกับนายนาวา จันทนสุรคน ผู้ช่วยกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ สายกิจการสาธารณะและความรับผิดชอบทางสังคม บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือเอสเอสไอ ในงานเฉลิมฉลองพระชนมพรรษาสมเด็จพระราชินีนาถเอลิซาเบธที่สอง และ 60 ปีแห่งการครองราชย์ซึ่งจัดขึ้น ณ โรงแรมแกรนด์ ไฮแอท เอราวัณ เมื่อวันที่ 14 มิถุนายนที่ผ่านมา ทั้งนี้ไทยและอังกฤษมีสัมพันธ์อันแน่นแฟ้นมาเป็นเวลาช้านาน นอกจากนี้เอสเอสไอยังได้เข้าซื้อกิจการโรงถลุงเหล็กและผลิตเหล็กกล้าที่ทีไซด์ (Teesside) ประเทศอังกฤษเมื่อปี 2554 ซึ่งได้กระชับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างทั้งสองประเทศมากยิ่งขึ้น  โดยเหล็กแท่งแบนที่ผลิตได้จากโรงงานเอสเอสไอ ทีไซด์ ล็อตแรกปริมาณ 48,000 ตัน คิดเป็นมูลค่าประมาณ 30 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ ถูกลำเลียงโดยเรือมาถึงประเทศไทยเมื่อวันที่ 15 มิถุนายน 2555

SSI Presents the King’s 84th birthday anniversary building (SSI Nong-Ra-Wang Ruam Jai)

Mr. Tung Asipong, Deputy Director of Prachuapkhirikhan Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, presided over the presentation ceremony of the building (SSI Nong-Ra –Wang Rum Jai) celebrating the 84th birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. There were more than100 people participating in the event, including teachers, parents, students and Nongrawang’s villagers on May 29, 2012.

Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc. (SSI) organized the SSI ARSA No. 15 in which SSI’s management team, staffs and Nongrawang’s villagers got together to develop Bangsaphan’s community by constructing a building (SSI Nong-Ra –Wang Ruam Jai) to celebrate the 84th birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. This project was aimed at constructing a school building for young children of Baan Nongrawang’s school, Thongchai, Bangsaphan, Prachuabkirikhan, because there was a lack of school building while the number of young children was increasing. The overall budget for this project was Bt. 949,826, including Bt.190,000 fund under SSI ARSA project, Iron Man Mini Marathon 2011 and Bt. 558,910 of steel structure from SSI and Bt. 200,916 from Nong-Ra-Wang educational merit making from SSI and local people. These have saved 70% of the budget (actual cost was Bt. 1,400,000) with 5 months of construction period.

เอสเอสไอ ส่งมอบอาคารเฉลิมพระเกียรติ 84 พรรษามหาราชา (เอสเอสไอ หนองระแวง รวมใจ)

นายตั้ง อสิพงษ์ รองผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาประจวบคีรีขันธ์ เขต1 เป็นประธานในพิธีส่งมอบอาคารเฉลิมพระเกียรติ84พรรษามหาราชา (เอสเอสไอ หนองระแวง รวมใจ) โดยมีครู ผู้ปกครอง นักเรียน และคนในชุมชนบ้านหนองระแวงเข้าร่วมประมาณ 100คน เมื่อวันที่ 29 พฤษภาคม 2555อาคารแห่งนี้ก่อสร้างภายใต้กิจกรรมเอสเอสไออาสาครั้งที่ 15 โดยบมจ.สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี หรือเอสเอสไอ นำผู้บริหารและพนักงานจิตอาสาและชาวบ้าน มาร่วมกันสร้างอาคารเฉลิมพระเกียรติ 84 พรรษามหาราชา (เอสเอสไอ หนองระแวง รวมใจ) โรงเรียนบ้านหนองระแวง ต.ธงชัย อ.บางสะพาน จ.ประจวบคีรีขันธ์เพื่อใช้เป็นอาคารเรียนสำหรับนักเรียนชั้นเด็กเล็ก ซึ่งประสบปัญหาอาคารเรียนไม่เพียงพอ ไม่สามารถรองรับนักเรียนชั้นเด็กเล็กที่เพิ่มจำนวนมากขึ้นได้ โดยก่อสร้างด้วยเงินงบประมาณทั้งสิ้น 949,826 บาท เป็นเงินสนับสนุนจาก บมจ.สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี ภายใต้โครงการเอสเอสไออาสาและกิจกรรมคนเหล็กมินิมาราธอน 2011 จำนวน 190,000 บาทและ สนับสนุนโครงสร้างเหล็กจากเอสเอสไอมูลค่า 558,910 บาท และโรงเรียนบ้านหนองระแวงจัดทอดผ้าป่าการศึกษา 200,916 บาท ด้วยความร่วมมือจาก บริษัทและคนในชุมชน ทำให้ประหยัดงบประมาณได้ร้อยละ70 (มูลค่าสร้างจริง 1,400,000บาท) ใช้เวลาในการก่อสร้างเป็นเวลา 5 เดือน
