SSI Participated in AWX2011 Workshop

Recently, Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited or SSI supported the arrangement of the “ASEAN Workshop on X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy and X-ray Fluorescence (AWX2011)” organized by Synchrotron Light Research Institute (Public Organization) (SLRI) at Suranaree University of Technology, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Many synchrotron light experts from foreign countries shared their knowledge and technique concerning synchrotron light research, so it can be used with the research work effectively to both Thai and foreign researches. There were foreign experts on synchrotron light shared knowledge and technique on synchrotron light research, so that they can be used with research work effectively to Thai and foreign researchers. Researchers from SSI have also been invited to participate in this workshop. Asst. Prof. Dr. Supagorn Rugmai, SLRI Acting Director, Dr. Wantana Klysubun, Beamline Manager BL8 and Dr. Somchai Tancharakorn, Beamline Manager BL6B (2nd, 3rd and 4th from left respectively) courteously** visited public relation board and works of SSI which have been displayed in this workshop.

SSI ร่วมงานสัมมนาเชิงปฏิบัติการฯ AWX 2011

เมื่อเร็วนี้ บมจ. สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี หรือเอสเอสไอ ให้การสนับสนุนการจัดงานสัมมนาเชิงปฏิบัติการ “ASEAN workshop on X-ray absorption spectroscopy and X-ray fluorescence (AWX2011)” ซึ่งจัดโดยสถาบันวิจัยแสงซินโครตรอน (องค์การมหาชน) ณ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารี จ.นครราชสีมา โดยมีผู้เชี่ยวชาญทางด้านแสงซินโครตรอนจากต่างประเทศมาร่วมถ่ายทอดความรู้ เทคนิค ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการวิจัยแสงซินโครตรอนให้สามารถนำไปใช้ประกอบกับงานวิจัยได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ให้แก่นักวิจัยทั้งชาวไทยและนักวิจัยชาวต่างประเทศ โดยนักวิจัยของเอสเอสไอได้รับการคัดลือกให้เข้าร่วมในการสัมมนาในงานดังกล่าวด้วย ในโอกาสนี้ ผศ.ดร.ศุภกร รักใหม่ ผู้ช่วยผู้อำนวยการสถาบันวิจัยแสงซินโครตรอนฯ ดร.วันทนา คล้ายสุบรรณ์ ผู้จัดการกลุ่มงานระบบลำเลียงแสงที่ 8 และดร.สมชาย ตันชรากรณ์ ผู้จัดการกลุ่มงานระบบลำเลียงแสงที่ 6B (คนที่ 2, 3, และ 4 จากซ้ายตามลำดับ) ได้ให้เกียรติเยี่ยมชมนิทรรศการประชาสัมพันธ์และผลงานของเอสเอสไอที่จัดแสดงในการสัมมนาด้วย

To Be Engineer Project # 7

Sahaviriya Steel Industrial PCL or SSI recently arranged “To Be Engineer # 7” continually project by invited approximately 1,000 students in M.3 level from 15 secondary schools in Bangsaphan participate in interesting activity e.g. knowing and understanding steel industry, Hot Roll Coil production process, SSI environmental management, and recreational activities relating steel. The project aims to enhance the opportunity of engineering career to students who interested in and help them on education planning for future working in their homeland.

“อนาคตเหล็กไทย สร้างด้วยเด็กไทย” ครั้งที่ 7

บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ เอสเอสไอ จัดโครงการ อนาคตเหล็กไทยสร้างด้วยเด็กไทย ครั้งที่ 7 เป็นโครงการต่อเนื่อง โดยมีนักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 จำนวน 15 โรงเรียน ในเขตอำเภอบางสะพาน จำนวนกว่า 1,000 คน เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมให้ความรู้ด้านอุตสาหกรรมเหล็ก กระบวนการผลิตเหล็กแผ่นรีดร้อน การจัดการด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมของ เอสเอสไอ และกิจกรรมนันทนาการ รวมทั้งการให้แนวคิดเพื่อช่วยส่งเสริมในการเป็นวิศวกรในอุตสาหกรรมเหล็ก และเป็นการกระตุ้นในการให้เยาวชนเลือกวางแผนด้านการศึกษา เพื่อที่จะสามารถกลับเข้ามาทำงานในท้องถิ่นของตนเองต่อไปในอนาคต

SSI Pioneered R&D and Tax Incentive Schemes

Recently, Mr. Thavorn Cananub, Assistant Vice President, Manufacturing Division, Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited or SSI (1st from left), was invited to be a guest speaker to disseminate knowledge and success on research and development (R&D) to increase competitiveness edge, as well as improve quality of products and production process on continued basis including tax incentive schemes gained from R&D investment. The executives in the listed companies were the audience at this “Tax Incentive Scheme for Research and Technology Development” seminar arranged by the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), Market for Alternative Investment (MAI), Technology Management Center (TMC) and National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) with objectives to encourage and motivate the private sectors to utilize tax measures for creating innovations in both products and production processes.

เมื่อเร็วๆ นี้ นายถาวร คณานับ ผู้จัดการทั่วไปสายการผลิต บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ เอสเอสไอ (คนที่ 1 จากซ้าย) ร่วมเป็นวิทยากรเผยแพร่ความรู้ และความสำเร็จด้านการวิจัยและพัฒนา (R&D) เพื่อเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขัน ปรับปรุงคุณภาพผลิตภัณฑ์และกระบวนการผลิตได้อย่างต่อเนื่อง รวมถึงสิทธิประโยชน์ทางภาษีที่ได้รับจากการลงทุนวิจัยและพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีของบริษัท ให้แก่ผู้บริหารบริษัทจดทะเบียนในตลาดหลักทรัพย์แห่งประเทศไทย ในงานเสวนา “สิทธิประโยชน์ทางภาษี เพื่อการวิจัยและพัฒนาเทคโนโลยี” จัดขึ้นโดย ตลาดหลักทรัพย์แห่งประเทศไทย ตลาดหลักทรัพย์ MAI ศูนย์บริหารจัดการเทคโนโลยี (TMC) และสำนักงานพัฒนาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีแห่งชาติ (สวทช.) เพื่อจูงใจและกระตุ้นให้ภาคเอกชนมีนวัตกรรมทั้งในรูปของผลิตภัณฑ์และกระบวนการผลิตโดยใช้มาตรการทางภาษี

SSI Participated in Field Test for Bangkok Triathlon

Recently, Mrs. Suleemas Suthisamphat, the organizing chairperson of the 3rd “Bangkok Triathlon 2011” (4th from left) welcomed Mr. Win Viriyaprapaikit (2nd from left), President of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SSI), a main sponsor of this event, who led Team Sahaviriya to participate in triathlon field test for 3 competition routes, i.e. swimming along the Chao Phraya River, cycling towards the Borommarajchachonnani elevated expressway and running in Suan Luang Rama VIII Park and on Rama VIII Bridge in order to ensure the readiness of the race which shall be held on Sunday 10th July 2011. This event is organized by the Raj Pracha Samasai Foundation under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King to celebrate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 7th cycle and 84th birthday anniversary. The fund raised shall be contributed to the Foundation to help leprosy patients and children whose parents have been affected by HIV virus.

เอสเอสไอร่วมทดสอบสนามจัดการแข่งขันกรุงเทพฯ ไตรกีฬา

เมื่อเร็วๆ นี้ นางศุลีมาศ สุทธิสัมพัทน์ ประธานกรรมการจัดงาน “กรุงเทพฯ ไตรกีฬา” ครั้งที่ 3 ประจำปี 2554 (คนที่ 4 จากซ้าย) ได้ต้อนรับนายวิน วิริยประไพกิจ (คนที่ 2 จากซ้าย) กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บมจ.สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี หรือ เอสเอสไอ ในฐานะผู้สนับสนุนหลักของการแข่งขัน ซึ่งได้นำนักไตรกีฬาทีมสหวิริยา (Team Sahaviriya) เข้าร่วมทดสอบเส้นทางการแข่งขันทั้ง 3 ประเภท ได้แก่ ว่ายน้ำในแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา ขี่จักยานบนทางด่วนลอยฟ้าพระบรมราชชนนี และวิ่งบริเวณรอบสวนหลวงพระราม 8 และบนสะพานพระราม 8 เพื่อเตรียมพร้อมในการแข่งขันที่จะมีขึ้นในวันอาทิตย์ที่ 10 กรกฏาคม 2554 นี้ ซึ่งจัดโดยมูลนิธิราชประชาสมาสัย ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ เพื่อร่วมเฉลิมพระเกียรติในวโรกาสมหามงคลสมัยที่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวทรงเจริญพระชนม พรรษา 7 รอบ 84 พรรษา หารายได้สมทบทุนช่วยเหลือผู้ป่วยโรคเรื้อนและเด็กที่ติดเชื้อโรคเอดส์ (เอชไอวี)
