In order to built a good relationship between the company and communities, Khun Win Viriyaprapaikij, President of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc. or SSI led management team, officers from SSI and Sahaviriya group together with the local people participated in “SSI ARSA 7th” activity to build the Recyclingable Waste Bank for schools in Bangsaphan: Ban Khlong Loy School, Ban Nong Yahphlong School and Ban Nailog School on 14 November 2009. The objective is to generate knowledge and understanding on how to classify waste, dispose waste and handle the reusable waste to local youth. Mr. Somsak Lor-udom, Assistant District Chief Officer of Bangsaphan was the guest of honor in this activity.
This is the continuity activity of “Clean Technology Teachers project” which focused on creation of learning and understanding process on application of technology available in local areas for effective management of garbage and wastes from various sources. It is also a pilot project to build up ideas for operation of “Prototype Recycled Bank” project that SSI planned to support and made it happen in the schools and communities of Bang Saphan.

เอสเอสไออาสา ครั้งที่ 7 สร้างธนาคารขยะเพื่อโลกสวย

บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ เอสเอสไอ โดยคุณวิน วิริยประไพกิจ กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ นำคณะผู้บริหารและพนักงานบริษัท และบริษัทในเครือสหวิริยา ร่วมกิจกรรมจิตอาสาพนักงาน เพื่อสร้างความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างองค์กรกับชุมชน ในโครงการ “เอสเอสไอ อาสา” ครั้งที่ 7 โดยร่วมกับชาวบ้านร่วมกันกันก่อสร้างโรงเรือนธนาคารขยะ เอสเอสไอ จำนวน 3 โรงเรือน ให้กับ 3 โรงเรียนนำร่องในพื้นที่อำเภอบางสะพานที่เข้าร่วมโครงการ ธนาคารขยะ เอสเอสไอ ได้แก่ โรงเรียนบ้านในล็อค โรงเรียนบ้านหนองหญ้าปล้อง และโรงเรียนบ้านคลองลอย โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อให้เยาวชนในท้องถิ่นมีความเข้าใจและแยกประเภทขยะได้อย่างถูกต้อง และสามารถกำจัดขยะอย่างถูกวิธี รวมถึงการจัดการอย่างถูกต้องกับขยะที่สามารถหมุนเวียนกลับมาใช้ใหม่ กิจกรรมนี้ได้รับเกียรติจาก นายสมศักดิ์ ล้ออุดม ปลัดอำเภอบางสะพานให้เกียรติเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม เมื่อวันที่ 14 พฤศจิกายน 2552 ที่ผ่านมา
กิจกรรมดังกล่าวเป็นการต่อยอดจากโครงการโครงการครูเทคโนโลยีสะอาด ที่มุ่งเน้นให้ครูและผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาเกิดการเรียนรู้และเข้าใจแนวทางการประยุกต์ใช้เทคโนโลยีที่มีอยู่ในท้องถิ่นเข้ามาใช้จัดการขยะและของเสียจากแหล่งต่างๆ ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ รวมถึงเป็นโครงการให้ความรู้นำร่องสำหรับการต่อยอดความคิดสู่การดำเนินโครงการ “ธนาคารขยะรีไซเคิลต้นแบบ” ที่บริษัทฯ มีแผนงานสนับสนุนให้เกิดขึ้นในโรงเรียนและชุมชนบางสะพานต่อไป

Sahaviriya Steel Industries PCL or SSI has arranged SSI Happiness Caravan since the beginning of the year 2009. The purposes are to provide free mobile clinic for Bangsaphan people (physical, diabetes, blood pressure examination, and dentistry), motorcycle repair services i.e. engine oil change, electric appliances repair services and entertainment activities. This project has received good cooperation from Bangsaphan Sub District-Administration Organization, Thongchai Health Station, Bangsaphan Hospital, Bangsaphan-noi Hospital and Bangsaphan Technology College of Iron and Steel Management.

Mr. Sommai Panthong – Subdistrict Headman was presided over the 6th “SSI Happiness Caravan” with more than 100 people participated in using free mobile medical services and other services provided at Multipurpose Hall, Moo 1 (Ban Tham Khiriwong) Thongchai Sub-district, Bangsaphan District, Prachuap Khirikhan.

“On behalf of people of Thongchai Sub-district, I’d like to thank the employees and Sahaviriya Steel Industries PCL. for the good deeds they have done for our community. This activity shows that SSI was concerned about the people here and needed to develop a better quality of their life and we wish SSI will promote and support these projects continuously,” said Mr. Sommai.

This is project that SSI and staff are committed to an ongoing support to the communities for their better quality living through number of social outreach programs, in order to make them to be healthy both physically and mentally, reduce cost needed in daily life. An important thing is to build a good relationship between employees and communities including to enhance bond between the company and the government agencies in Bangsaphan area.

รอยยิ้มชาวตำบลธงชัย กับ คาราวานความสุขเอสเอสไอ ครั้งที่ 6

ยังคงเดินหน้าต่อเนื่องสำหรับคาราวานความสุขที่ บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน)หรือ เอสเอสไอ จัดกิจกรรมต่างๆเพื่อให้บริการประชาชนในพื้นที่อำเภอบางสะพาน อาทิ บริการตรวจคัดกรองเบาหวาน ตรวจวัดความดันโลหิต ตรวจสุขภาพขั้นพื้นฐาน บริการด้านทันตกรรม บริการตัดผม บริการเปลี่ยนถ่ายน้ำมันเครื่อง ตรวจซ่อมเครื่องใช้ไฟฟ้าและอุปกรณ์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ และกิจกรรมสันทนาการต่างๆมาตั้งแต่ต้นปี 2552 โดย
สำหรับคาราวานความสุขเอสเอสไอ ครั้งที่ 6 ที่ตำบลธงชัย บริษัทได้รับความร่วมมือเป็นอย่างดีจาก องค์การบริหารส่วนตำบลธงชัย สถานีอนามัยตำบลธงชัย โรงพยาบาลบางสะพาน โรงพยาบาลบางสะพานน้อย วิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีการจัดการเหล็กและเหล็กกล้าบางสะพาน ในการออกหน่วยคาราวานเคลื่อนที่ โดยได้รับเกียรติจากนายสมหมาย ปานทอง กำนันตำบลธงชัยเป็นประธานกล่าวเปิดงาน โดยมีประชาชนในพื้นที่ตำบลธงชัย สนใจเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมกว่า 100 คน ณ ศาลาหมู่บ้านหมู่ 1 บ้านถ้ำคีรีวงศ์ ต.ธงชัย อ.บางสะพาน จ.ประจวบคีรีขันธ์

โครงการคาราวานความสุข เอสเอสไอนี้ เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของกิจกรรมเพื่อสังคมของเอสเอสไอโดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเสริมสร้างให้ประชาชนในชุมชนมีความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีขึ้น มีสุขภาพกายสุขภาพใจที่ดี ช่วยลดค่าใช้จ่ายที่จำเป็นในชีวิตประจำวัน รวมไปถึงเป็นการสร้างสัมพันธภาพที่ดีระหว่างพนักงานบริษัทฯกับคนในชุมชน ตลอดจนเป็นการสร้างความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างหน่วยงานภาครัฐและเอกชนต่างๆภายในอำเภอบางสะพานให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น

Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited or SSI has sent drawings of the youth at Bangsaphan under the “Drawing Contest to Win SSI Scholarships Project” with theme of “Save Global Warming with Two Hands” to compete in this contest where the participants must be the youth under 15 year old. There were more than 50 countries worldwide participate in this contest each year.

Nong Potae also said that “I sent a drawing of the King and people played a part in activities to reduce global warming for the contest. The reason that I made such drawing was that I would like to see everyone help reducing global warming. I don’t want to hurt the world and need to keep it with us for a long time. I like drawing because I like to Art lesson and I think that it can be one of the personal talents”.

“I am very proud of this bronze medal because it will give me more inspiration and confidence. I will surely participate in other contests in the future and I would like to invite friends who have drawing skills and love to draw to also participate in the contest more and more. Finally, I would like to thank SSI for supporting me until I get this prize. Thank you”

Nutdanai shall receive the medal from the Japanese Ambassador to Thailand on 15th November 2009 at Central World. SSI shall facilitate and accommodate Nong Potae for this event including invite his parents and his teacher to share happiness for this delightful opportunity as well.

SSI has arranged a drawing competition contest to win scholarship in Bangsaphan every year. This is a part of educational development plans for Bangsaphan youth. The judges shall select the outstanding pieces of works and send them to compete at an international arena.

For this year (2009), it will be the 6th year for this kind of contest, SSI would like to invite the youth in Bangsaphan District who have art skill from kindergarten level to high school level to compete and win the scholarships worth 100,000 Baht in total. The parents and people of Bangsaphan shall also be invited to cheer up and support their children. The selection process shall begin from 9th – 20th November 2009 at each educational institute. The final round and award presentation ceremony shall be held on 27th November 2009 at Conference Hall, Bangsaphan Wittaya School.

เยาวชนบางสะพานสร้างชื่อคว้าเหรียญทองแดงงานศิลปะเด็กนานาชาติญี่ปุ่น

ดีใจสุดๆหลังจากทราบข่าวว่าตนเองสามารถคว้ารางวัลเหรียญทองแดง จากงานนิทรรศการศิลปะเด็กนานาชาติครั้งที่ 39 (The 39th International Children’s Drawing Contest) ที่ประเทศญี่ปุ่น หลังจากที่ บมจ. สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี หรือ เอสเอสไอ ได้นำภาพวาดของเยาวชนบางสะพานจากโครงการประกวดวาดภาพชิงทุนการศึกษาเอสเอสไอที่ชื่อ “หยุดโลกร้อนด้วยสองมือเรา”(Save Global Warming with two Hands)ร่วมเข้าประกวดในนิทรรศการผลงานเยาวชนอายุไม่เกิน 15 ปี ดังกล่าว โดยในแต่ละปีมีภาพจากประเทศต่างๆส่งเข้าประกวดจากกว่า 50 ประเทศทั่วโลก

น้องโปเต้ หรือเด็กชายณัฐดนัย ศรีหอม นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 โรงเรียนธนาคารออมสิน เจ้าของผลงานผู้สร้างชื่อเสียงมาประดับวงการศิลปะเยาวชน บอกว่า”ผมได้วาดภาพพ่อหลวงและผู้คนช่วยกันทำกิจกรรมเพื่อลดภาวะโลกร้อนส่งเข้าประกวด เหตุผลที่วาดรูปนี้เพราะอยากให้ทุกคนช่วยกันลดโลกร้อน ไม่อยากให้โลกจากไป ให้อยู่กับเรานานๆ ผมชอบวาดรูปเพราะชอบวิชาศิลปะและคิดว่าเป็นความสามารถเฉพาะตัวอีกอย่างหนึ่ง”

“สำหรับรางวัลเหรียญทองแดงที่ได้รับรู้สึกภูมิใจมากที่ทำได้ดี ทำให้มีแรงบันดาลใจและมีความมั่นใจมากขึ้น ถ้าหากมีการประกวดวาดภาพอีกก็จะเข้าประกวดด้วย อยากชักชวนเพื่อนๆที่มีความสามารถและชอบวาดรูปให้มาเข้าประกวดกันมากๆ สุดท้ายนี้ขอขอบคุณ บริษัทเอสเอสไอที่มีส่วนสนับสนุนให้ผมได้รับรางวัลในครั้งนี้ ขอบคุณครับ”

ทั้งนี้ ณัฐดนัย จะเข้ารับรางวัลขากเอกอัครราชทูตญี่ปุ่นประจำประเทศไทย ในวันที่ 15 พฤศจิกายนนี้ ภายในงานมอบรางวัล ที่ห้างสรรพสินค้า Central World โดยพี่พี่จากเอสเอสไอจะอำนวยความสะดวกพาน้องโปเต้ พร้อมทั้งเชิญผู้ปกครองและครูผู้ฝึกสอน ไปร่วมแสดงความยินดี ณ โอกาสนี้ด้วย

เอสเอสไอ ได้โครงการประกวดวาดภาพชิงทุนการศึกษา ในเขตอำเภอบางสะพานต่อเนื่องทุกปี ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของแผนการร่วมพัฒนาการศึกษาเยาวชนบางสะพาน และในแต่ละปีคณะกรรมการตัดสินจะคัดเลือกผลงานที่มีความโดดเด่น ส่งเข้าประกวดเวทีระดับนานาชาติ

สำหรับปี 2552 นี้ เอสเอสไอ ได้เปิดโอกาส ๆ สำหรับการแข่งขันชิงชัยทางความสามารถทางด้านศิลปะเป็นครั้งที่ 6 ขอเชิญชวนน้อง ๆ เยาวชนในเขตบางสะพานระดับชั้นอนุบาล จนถึงมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลายทุกท่าน เข้าร่วมแข่งขันชิงเงินรางวัลเป็นทุนการศึกษามูลค่ารวม 100,000 บาท และขอเชิญผู้ปกครองและชาวบางสะพานทุกท่านร่วมเชียร์และเป็นกำลังใจแก่ลูกหลานและเยาวชนคนเก่งในการแข่งขันรอบคัดเลือกจะเริ่มต้นขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 9 – 20 พฤศจิกายน 2552 ณ สถานศึกษาแต่ละแห่ง และรอบชิงชนะเลิศและพิธีมอบรางวัลแห่งความสำเร็จ วันที่ 27 พฤศจิกายน 2552 ณ อาคารอเนกประสงค์ โรงเรียนบางสะพานวิทยา
