Mr. Padungsak Pranudomrat, Public & Community Relations Office Manager of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc. or SSI, recently attended in Organic Fertilizer Bank Group Meeting to give a project background , clarify and make the right understanding of Organic Fertilizer Bank project 2009 to the project members at the Moo1 Village Headman Office, Tambon Kumnurd -Noppakhun, Bangsaphan, Prachuap Khirikhan, as SSI supported and provided budgets for this project as well as arranged the training courses on making of organic fertilizer to local people in the communities.
For this project, SSI intended to emphasize and encourage the farmers in Bangsaphan to produce and use organic fertilizer instead of chemical fertilizer for their agricultures which can reduce production costs, increase income and preserve the environments at the same time.
In 2008, SSI supported fertilization production in 2 Tambons, i.e. Pong Prapas organic fertilizer group, which has Mr. Prasit Muendwong, as the group leader and Thongchai organic fertilizer group, which has Mr. Sumit Chutimit, as the group leader. For this year, the Company has expanded the “Organic Fertilizer Bank…the Sustainable Step to Progress” project to two groups of farmers in Kumnurd – Noppakhun group and Mae Rampueng, which have Mr. Annop Jungprasopmongkol and Mr. Suthep Sukkasem, as the group leader respectively. These two groups are now ready to start their Organic Fertilizer Bank. Currently, there are more than 200 peoples of 4 groups joining in this project. In addition, the supporting budgets provided at the amount of Baht 120,000 for each Tambon has been used for purchasing equipments and procurement of raw materials and it made these 4 groups to be able to produce organic fertilizer approximately 100 tons each.

เอสเอสไอขยายธนาคารปุ๋ยอินทรีย์แบบยั่งยืนเพิ่มเป็น 4 ตำบล

นายผดุงศักดิ์ ปราณอุดมรัตน์ ผู้จัดการสำนักประชาสัมพันธ์และชุมชนสัมพันธ์ บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด(มหาชน) หรือ เอสเอสไอ ประชุมเพื่อชี้แจงและทำความเข้าใจกับเกษตรกรที่เข้าร่วมเป็นสมาชิกโครงการธนาคารปุ๋ยอินทรีย์ ก้าวย่างอย่างยั่งยืน ประจำปี 2552 กับเอสเอสไอ กลุ่มตำบลกำเนิดนพคุณ ณ ที่ทำการผู้ใหญ่บ้านหมู่ 1 ต.กำเนิดนพคุณ อ.บางสะพาน จ.ประจวบคีรีขันธ์ ในฐานะที่บริษัทเป็นผู้ให้การสนับสนุนงบประมาณการจัดทำโครงการและการจัดหลักสูตรอบรมการทำปุ๋ยอินทรีย์ให้แก่ชาวบ้านในชุมชน เมื่อเร็วๆนี้
โครงการดังกล่าวเอสเอสไอมุ่งเน้นส่งเสริมให้เกษตรกรในอำเภอบางสะพานผลิตและใช้ปุ๋ยอินทรีย์แทนการใช้ปุ๋ยเคมีในการทำเกษตรกรรม ซึ่งช่วยลดต้นทุนการผลิต เพิ่มรายได้ และอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อมควบคู่กันไป โดยในปี 2552 บริษัทได้ให้การสนับสนุนการจัดทำปุ๋ยอินทรีย์ใน 2 ตำบล ได้แก่ กองปุ๋ยอินทรีย์สาขาตำบลพงศ์ประศาสน์ มีนายประสิทธิ์ เหมือนวงศ์ เป็นประธานกลุ่ม และกองปุ๋ยอินทรีย์สาขาตำบลธงชัย มีนายสุมิตร ชูติมิตร เป็นประธานกลุ่ม และในปี 2552 บริษัทฯได้ขยายการสนับสนุนโครงการไปยังกลุ่มเกษตรกรอีกสองตำบล ได้แก่ กลุ่มปุ๋ยอินทรีย์ตำบลกำเนิดนพคุณ โดยมีนายอรรณพ จุ่งประสพมงคล เป็นประธานกลุ่ม และ กลุ่มตำบลแม่รำพึง มีนายสุเทพ สุขเกษม เป็นประธานกลุ่ม ซึ่งขณะนี้ทั้ง 2 กลุ่มได้มีการประชุมเตรียมความพร้อมที่จะดำเนินการผลิตปุ๋ยอินทรีย์แล้ว ทำให้ปัจจุบันโครงการธนาคารปุ๋ยอินทรีย์ขยายตัวเพิ่มเป็น 4 ตำบล โดยมีสมาชิกรวมกว่า 200 คนแล้ว ทั้งนี้เอสเอสไอสนันสนุนทุนเริ่มต้นในการทำกองปุ๋ยจำนวน 120,000 บาทต่อกลุ่มสำหรับเป็นค่าอุปกรณ์และจัดหาวัตถุดิบ ซึ่งจะสามารถผลิตปุ๋ยอินทรีย์ได้ประมาณกลุ่มละ 100ตัน
