Sahaviriya Steel Industrial PCL or SSI will arrange “To Be Engineer # 5” project during 22-29 June 2009 by inviting approximately 1,000 students in M.3 level from 15 secondary schools in Bangsaphan participate in Interesting activity e.g. knowing and understanding steel industry, Hot Roll Coil production process, SSI environmental management, and recreational activities relating steel. The project aims to enhance the opportunity of engineering career to students who interested in and help them on education planning for future working in their homeland.

บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ เอสเอสไอ จะจัดโครงการ อนาคตเหล็กไทยสร้างด้วยเด็กไทย ครั้งที่ 5 ระหว่างวันที่ 22 – 29 มิถุนายน 2552 โดยนำนักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 จาก 15 โรงเรียนในเขตอำเภอบางสะพาน จำนวนกว่า 1,000 คน เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมให้ความรู้ด้านอุตสาหกรรมเหล็ก กระบวนการผลิตเหล็กแผ่นรีดร้อน การจัดการด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมของเอสเอสไอ และกิจกรรมนันทนาการ รวมทั้งให้แนวคิดเพื่อช่วยส่งเสริมในการเป็นวิศวกรในอุตสาหกรรมเหล็ก และยังเป็นการกระตุ้นในการให้เยาวชนเลือกวางแผนการศึกษา เพื่อที่จะสามารถกลับเข้ามาทำงานในท้องถิ่นของตนเองต่อไปในอนาคต
Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc. or SSI and Bangsaphan Health Service Network (BSP Hospital) jointly arranged “Elder’s Health Promotion Activity” for more than 100 elders from 7 Tambol in Bangsaphan District. This activity was held at Polwisut Hall, Bangsaphan Hospital, Prachuap Khirikhan. SSI has continually provided program, to promote health care for Bangsaphan people since 2006 in order to make them healthier both physically and mentally and free from illness or any suffering caused by diseases. An important thing is to develop a better quality for their life.
According to SSI Steel Loves the Earth Program, Mr. Win Viriyaprapaikit, President of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc. or SSI recently gave the litter-bin sets to Mr. Kriangkrai Jaidee, mayor of Mae Rumphueng Sub District Administration Organization. Such litter-bin sets will be placed at Mae Rumphueng playground, Ban Pak Klong playing field and Health Park Restaurant to provide waste receptacles for public and tourists in order to help keep Mae Rumphueng Beach clean.
Mr. Win Viriyaprapaikit, President of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc. launched the Recyclingable Waste Bank Project for schools in Bangsaphan by presenting its bank book to 5 pilot schools: Ban Suanhuang School, Ban Khlong Loy School, Ban Nong Yahphlong School, Ban Nailog School and Bangsaphan Kindergarten School. The objective is to generate knowledge and understanding on how to classify waste, dispose waste and handle the reusable waste to local youth.
