Mr. Veera Sriwattanatrakoon, Governor of Prachuab Khiri Khan, presided over the scholarship giving ceremony of Sahaviriya Group (SVG) Annual Scholarships 2013. The 189 scholarships, THB 483,500 worth, were provided to elementary and high school students from 21 schools from 4 sub districts of Bangsaphan, including Mae Rampheung, Kamnerdnoppakun, Pongprasas, and Thong Chai. The event was attended by Mr. Suttha Thumumnuaysuk, District Chief Officer, Mr.Narongphong Phothisombati, Advisor of Sahaviriya Group, together with management team and SVG staffs.
The SVG has made grants scholarships for 19 consecutive years to assist bright but needy school students in the public schools in Bangsaphan. This program will help enhance their quality of life in the future. In 2013, Sahaviriya Group presents 182 scholarships for elementary-high school students, 5 continuous scholarships for their 4 years of Bachelor degree and 2 continuous scholarships under The SVG’s Scholarship for Excellent Education Development (SVG SEED) Program.
In addition, The SVG SEED scheme was initiated by improving the allocation of scholarship for undergraduate students in order to develop local education according to sustainable development. It is aimed to produce local teacher in critical shortage areas.

เครือสหวิริยามอบทุนการศึกษาเยาวชนบางสะพานประจำปี 2556

นายวีระ ศรีวัฒนตระกูล ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ ให้เกียรติเป็นประธานในพิธีมอบทุนการศึกษาเครือสหวิริยาประจำปี 2556 ให้แก่เยาวชน จากสถานศึกษาจำนวน 21 แห่ง ในเขต 4 ตำบลของอำเภอบางสะพานคือ ต.แม่รำพึง ต.กำเนิดนพคุณ ต.พงศ์ประศาสน์ และต.ธงชัย ตั้งแต่ระดับประถมศึกษาถึงระดับอุดมศึกษา จำนวน 189 ทุน รวมมูลค่า 483,500 บาท โดยมีนายสุทธา ธรรมอำนวยสุข นายอำเภอบางสะพาน นายณรงค์พงศ์ โพธิสมบัติ ที่ปรึกษาเครือสหวิริยาพร้อมคณะผู้บริหารและพนักงานบริษัทในเครือสหวิริยาเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม
โครงการมอบทุนการศึกษานี้เป็นโครงการพัฒนาชุมชนด้านการศึกษาที่เครือสหวิริยาจัดขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องเป็นปีที่ 19 โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสนับสนุนเยาวชนในท้องถิ่นที่มุ่งมั่นตั้งใจศึกษาแต่มีฐานะยากจน ให้มีโอกาสทางการศึกษาอันจะนำมาซึ่งคุณภาพชีวิตและครอบครัวที่ดีในอนาคต สำหรับปี 2556 นี้เครือสหวิริยาจัดมอบทุนการคึกษาให้แก่เยาวชนบางสะพาน ดังนี้ ทุนการศึกษาระดับประถมศึกษา – มัธยมศึกษา จำนวน 182 ทุน ทุนการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีต่อเนื่องจำนวน 5 ทุน และทุนการศึกษาต่อเนื่องระดับปริญญาตรีภายใต้”โครงการครูสร้างเด็ก เหล็กสร้างครู” จำนวน 2 ทุน
สำหรับโครงการครูสร้างเด็ก เหล็กสร้างครู เป็นโครงการที่เครือสหวิริยาได้ริเริ่มปรับเปลี่ยนรูปแบบในการจัดสรรทุนการศึกษาระดับอุดมศึกษาขึ้นใหม่ เพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับการร่วมพัฒนาการศึกษาในท้องถิ่นตามแนวทางการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน โดยสนับสนุนและสร้างบุคลากรครูในสาขาวิชาที่ขาดแคลนในท้องถิ่น

The Committee of “Sahaviriya Fund for Bangsaphan Educational Development” Project, including proficiently academic advisors from Office of the Basic Education commission of Thailand (OBEC), Ministry of Education, the Office of Prachuap Khirikhan Primary Educational Service Area Zone 1, involve to evaluate presentations of 3-year educational quality development plan from educational institutes in 4 sub-districts of Bangsaphan (Maerumphung, Pongprasart, Kamnerdnoppakhun and Thongchai) in order to grant the THB 1.2 million funds.

Mr. Padungsak Pranudomrat, Assistant Vice President Public & Community Relations of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SSI), as a representative of Sahaviriya Group, presented the first installment of the funds on behalf of ” Sahaviriya Fund for Bangsaphan Educational Development 2013” to the qualified institute which is Bangsaphan Kindergarten School, one of the largest school in Kumnerdnoppakhun sub-district. The school will receive 3-year continuous funding plan that will be provided in 3 installments (50:25:25). In addition, the Sahaviriya Fund Committee will give the second installment to the 2 initial model schools that won the ” Sahaviriya Fund for Bangsaphan Educational Development 2011,” ; such as Baan Suan Luang School from Phongprasat sub-district and Ban Don Sa-nga school from Kumnerdnoppakhun sub-district.

“Sahaviriya Fund for Bangsaphan Educational Development” Project was launched by Sahaviriya Group to promote and develop Bangsaphan education in 3 dimensions (schools, teachers and students), with focusing in sustainable development. Sahaviriya Group cooperated with the Office of Prachuap Khirikhan Primary Educational Service Area Zone 1 in establishing this 3-year continuous fund project in 2011 that aimed to support educational institutes in 4 sub-districts around the plants of Sahaviriya Group. The qualified projects of institutes will be monitored and assessed progress of the activities before permitting the fund.

คณะกรรมการโครงการกองทุนสหวิริยาร่วมพัฒนาคุณภาพการศึกษาบางสะพานซึ่งประกอบด้วยผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิจากสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน (สพฐ.) และสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาประจวบคีรีขันธ์เขต 1 (สพท.ปข.1) ร่วมพิจารณาตัดสินการนำเสนอแผนพัฒนาคุณภาพการศึกษาระยะ 3 ปี ของสถานศึกษาในเขตพื้นที่ 4 ตำบลเป้าหมาย (ตำบลแม่รำพึง ตำบลกำเนิดนพคุณ ตำบลพงศ์ประศาสน์ และตำบลธงชัย) ที่ส่งแผนพัฒนาฯเข้าร่วมประกวดเพื่อชิงทุนสนับสนุนในการพัฒนาการศึกษาจากเครือสหวิริยามูลค่ารวม 1.2 ล้านบาท
โดยนายผดุงศักดิ์ ปราณอุดมรัตน์ ผู้จัดการทั่วไป สำนักประชาสัมพันธ์และชุมชนสัมพันธ์ บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด(มหาชน) ในฐานะผู้แทนเครือสหวิริยา ได้มอบทุนสนับสนุนพัฒนาสถานศึกษางวดที่ 1 ให้แก่สถานศึกษาที่ได้รับคัดเลือก ภายใต้โครงการกองทุนสหวิริยาร่วมพัฒนาคุณภาพการศึกษาบางสะพาน 2556 ได้แก่ โรงเรียนอนุบาลบางสะพาน ซึ่งเป็นโรงเรียนขนาดใหญ่จากตำบลกำเนิดนพคุณ โดยจะได้รับทุนสนับสนุนต่อเนื่อง 3 ปี จำนวน 3 งวด ตามสัดส่วน 50:25:25 พร้อมกันนี้คณะกรรมการกองทุนสหวิริยาฯยังได้มอบทุนสนับสนุนพัฒนาสถานศึกษางวดที่ 2 ให้แก่ 2 โรงเรียนนำร่องที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกจาก “โครงการกองทุนสหวิริยาร่วมพัฒนาคุณภาพการศึกษาบางสะพาน 2554” คือ โรงเรียนบ้านสวนหลวง ต.พงศ์ประศาสน์ และ โรงเรียนบ้านดอนสง่า ต.กำเนิดนพคุณ ด้วย

โครงการ “กองทุนสหวิริยาร่วมพัฒนาคุณภาพการศึกษาบางสะพาน” เป็นโครงการส่งเสริมและพัฒนาการศึกษาโดยเครือสหวิริยา เพื่อขับเคลื่อนการพัฒนาการศึกษาอำเภอบางสะพานแบบองค์รวมทั้งสามมิติ ได้แก่ สถานศึกษา ครู และนักเรียน สู่ความเป็นเลิศทางการศึกษาตอกย้ำแนวทางการพัฒนาบนวิถีแห่งความยั่งยืน ซึ่งเครือสหวิริยาได้ประสานความร่วมมือกับสำนักงานคณะคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน (สพฐ.) และสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษา ประจวบคีรีขันธ์ เขต 1 ริเริ่มจัดขึ้นครั้งแรกในปี 2554 โดยจัดเป็นโครงการต่อเนื่องระยะ 3 ปี เพื่อสนับสนุนทุนพัฒนาให้กับสถานศึกษาจาก 4 ตำบลโดยรอบที่ตั้งของเครือสหวิริยา (แม่รำพึง, พงศ์ประศาสน์, กำเนิดนพคุณ และธงชัย) ที่นำเสนอแผนและผ่านเกณฑ์การพิจารณาจากคณะกรรมการโครงการ ซึ่งจะมีการติดตามผลระหว่างดำเนินงานและประเมินผลการดำเนินงานของสถานศึกษาก่อนการพิจารณามอบทุนพัฒนาสถานศึกษาในแต่ละงวดในระยะเวลา 3 ปีของโครงการ

SSI Volunteers enjoy teaching Pratom 4 – 6 students from Ban Don Samran School, Bangsaphan, Prachub Khiri Khun, about “Steel in daily life” as part of the local curriculum which is jointly initiated by the school, school committee and SSI.

The local curriculum is aimed at applying local resources as tools to teach students and cause effective learning performance. This not only create interesting atmosphere for the students to learn, but it also encourages communication creativity. In each year, students will have 6-hour lesson to study with SSI Volunteers.

In addition, Ban Don Samran School is the second school that SSI has applied the subject to their curriculum, after the lesson has been taught at Ban Ta Kham School since 2012. This project helps increase knowledge about steel and strengthens the relationship between the Company, staffs and local people.

เอสเอสไออาสา…สนุกสอนน้องหลักสูตรท้องถิ่น

          เหล่าพนักงานเอสเอสไออาสากำลังมีความสุข และสนุกกับการสอนน้องๆ ชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4-6 โรงเรียนบ้านดอนสำราญ อำเภอบางสะพาน จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ เพื่อเรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับ “เหล็ก…ในชีวิตประจำวัน” ซึ่งเป็นวิชาหนึ่งในหลักสูตรท้องถิ่นที่ร่วมกันจัดทำโดยความร่วมมือระหว่างโรงเรียน คณะกรรมการสถานศึกษา และ เอสเอสไอซึ่งเป็นผู้ประกอบการอุตสาหกรรมเหล็กในพื้นที่
          หลักสูตรท้องถิ่นนี้ถูกพัฒนาขึ้นโดยมีจุดมุ่งหมายให้ความสำคัญกับทรัพยากรที่มีอยู่ในท้องถิ่นในการเสริมผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน และการเข้ามามีบทบาทในการเรียนการสอน ซึ่งไม่เพียงแต่จะสร้างบรรยากาศการเรียนให้เยาวชนมีความกระตือรือร้นแล้ว ยังช่วยพัฒนาความคิดสร้างสรรค์ในการสื่อสารของน้องๆด้วย โดยในแต่ละปีน้องๆ จะได้รับความรู้จากพี่เอสเอสไออาสา 6 ชั่วโมงเรียน
          ทั้งนี้โรงเรียนบ้านดอนสำราญเป็นโรงเรียนแห่งที่สองที่เอสเอสไอได้มีโอกาสเข้าไปร่วมพัฒนาและประยุกต์ใช้หลักสูตรท้องถิ่น หลังจากที่มีโครงการนำร่องแห่งแรกที่โรงเรียนบ้านท่าขามไปเมื่อปี 2555 ที่ผ่านมาโครงการดังกล่าวเป็นการส่งเสริมความรู้เรื่องเหล็กและสนับสนุนความผูกพันระหว่างบริษัท พนักงาน และชุมชน
