SSI Helps Southern Flood Victims

Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited or SSI by Mr. Nava Chantanasurakon, Vice President, Public Affairs and Social Responsibility Division (2nd from left) presented Baht 600,000 to help flood victims in the Southern part of Thailand and also presented Baht 24,630 donation money to help earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan raised by employees of Sahaviriya Group via Channel 3 Family News. Mr. Sorayuth Suthasanachinda (2nd from right), news anchor of Rueng Lao Chao Nee News Program received those contributions at Maleenond Building recently.

เอสเอสไอร่วมช่วยเหลือผู้ประสบภัยน้ำท่วม

บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือเอสเอสไอ โดยนายนาวา จันทนสุรคน ผู้ช่วยกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่สายกิจการสาธารณะและความรับผิดชอบทางสังคม (คนที่ 2 ซ้าย) มอบเงินจำนวน 600,000 บาท ร่วมช่วยเหลือผู้ประสบอุทกภัยภาคใต้ และมอบเงินที่ได้จากการรับบริจาคเพื่อช่วยเหลือผู้ประสบภัยแผ่นดินไหวและสึนามิประเทศญี่ปุ่นของพนักงานในกลุ่มเครือบริษัทสหวิริยาอีกจำนวน 24,630 บาท ผ่านครอบครัวข่าว 3 โดยมี นายสรยุทธ สุทัศนจินดา (คนที่ 2 ขวา) พิธีกรรายการเรื่องเล่าเช้านี้ เป็น ผู้รับมอบ ณ อาคารมาลีนนท์ เมื่อเร็วๆ นี้

SSI’s big celebration with Asset Transfer of TCP, UK’s Iron and Steel Making Plant.

Mr. Win Viriyaprapaikit, President of Sahaviriya Steel Industries PLC (“SSI”) received the asset of Teesside Cast Product (“TCP”) valued USD 469 Million from Mr. Jon Bolton, Long Products Director of Tata Steel UK Limited after officially achieved the acquisition of the fully integrated iron and steel making facilities on 24 March 2011. SSI UK, a subsidiary of SSI, held the Handover Ceremony on the early morning of 25 March 2011 among the big crowd of participants, well known guests, stakeholders, local communities who are passionate about steel, and the press as well.

นายวิน วิริยประไพกิจ กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บมจ.สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี (เอสเอสไอ) รับมอบสินทรัพย์โรงถลุงเหล็ก Teesside Cast Products “TCP”มูลค่า 469 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐฯ จากนายจอน โบล์ตัน Long Products Director บริษัท ทาทา สตีล ยูเค จำกัด ภายหลังการเข้าซื้อสินทรัพย์โรงถลุงเหล็กและผลิตเหล็กกล้าครบวงจรดังกล่าวบรรลุผลอย่างเป็นทางการเมื่อวันที่ 24 มีนาคม 2554 ที่ผ่านมา โดย บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี (สหราชอาณาจักร) จำกัด ( เอสเอสไอ ยูเค) บริษัทย่อยของเอสเอสไอได้จัดให้มีพิธีส่งมอบทรัพย์สินในเช้าตรู่วันที่ 25 มีนาคม โดยมีบุคคลสำคัญที่มีชื่อเสียง ผู้มีส่วนได้เสีย คนในชุมชน Teesside ซึ่งผูกพันลึกซึ้งกับอุตสาหกรรมและ สื่อมวลชนร่วมเฉลิมฉลองและแสดงความยินดีมากมาย

SSI Receives Energy Saving Honorary Award

Mr. Sittichod Wantawin, Director of Energy Conservation and Renewable Energy Policy Bureau, Energy and Planning Office presented energy saving honorary award to Mr. Thavorn Cananub, Assistant Vice President Manufacturing Division (Planning & Logistic Operations), Sahaviriya Steel Industries PLC (“SSI”). SSI was among one of the successful entrepreneurs who participated in “Promotion Activities to Demonstrate Enhancement of Efficient Use of Energy in Transportation Business” because it can reduce cost and add value to its transportation system by developing and improving its lorry trailer doll from 2 shafts to 3 shafts system, which can reduce energy up to 3,307,909 Baht per year. This award presentation event was held during the seminar to summarize achievement of operations under “Promotion to Reduce Energy Usage in Transportation” Project, arranged by the Federation of Thai Industries at Windsor Suites Hotel, Sukhumvit 20, Bangkok.

นายสิทธิโชติ วันทวิน ผู้อำนวยการสำนักนโยบายอนุรักษ์พลังงานและพลังงานทดแทน สำนักนโยบายและแผนพลังงาน มอบโล่ประกาศเกียรติคุณผู้ประกอบการที่ประสบความสำเร็จในการเข้าร่วมโครงการ “กิจกรรมส่งเสริมสาธิตการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการใช้พลังงานในกิจการขนส่ง” ให้แก่ นายถาวร คณานับ ผู้จัดการทั่วไปสายการผลิตด้านการวางแผนการผลิต และปฏิบัติการขนส่ง บมจ.สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี หรือเอสเอสไอ ในฐานะองค์กรที่ประสบผลสำเร็จการลดต้นทุนและสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มให้กับการขนส่งจากการพัฒนาและปรับปรุงรถหางลากรถบรรทุกที่ใช้ในการขนส่ง จากระบบ 2 เพลา ให้เป็น 3 เพลา ส่งผลให้สามารถประหยัดพลังงานได้ถึง 3,307,909 บาทต่อปี ในงานสัมมนาสรุปผลสำเร็จการดำเนินโครงการ “ส่งเสริมลดการใช้พลังงานในสาขาการขนส่ง” จัดโดย สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย ณ โรงแรมวินเซอร์ สวีท สุขุมวิท 20 กรุงเทพฯ

Sahaviriya Steel Industries PCL., or SSI represented by Mr. Kanok Aroonrasamesopa, Assistant Vice President Human Resource & Administration, recently received the Samakunupakran honorary coin and the Certificate of honor from Mr.Chinnaworn Boonyakiat, Education Minister, at The Teachers Council Hall. The presentation was arranged in recognition and appreciation of the private sector’s significant contribution to Ministry of Education
