SSI Group of Companies is so proud that its 4 companies received the Outstanding Industrial Awards of 2009, for instance Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SSI) received the Outstanding Industrial Award of 2009 for Productivity; West Coast Engineering Company Limited (WCE) received the Outstanding Industrial Award of 2009 for Quality Management; Thai Cold Rolled Steel Sheet Public Company Limited (TCRSS) and Thai Coated Steel Sheet Company Limited (TCS) received the Outstanding Industrial Award for Energy Management.

The management of 4 companies received the awards from Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva, the Prime Ministry during the “Industrial Awards Presentation Ceremony of 2009” arranged by the Ministry of Industry at Santi Maitri Building, the Royal Thai Government House on July 14, 2009.

Here is the behind-the-scene of our success…

Mr. Win Viriyaprapaikit, President of SSI: Today SSI and the subsidiaries received 4 awards and this is the first time that we received such a lot of awards. It is a pleasure for all the colleagues and the staff who demonstrated our working standards. Most importantly, it means that we have a prudent management system and we always review it including improve ourselves constantly. Therefore, we will not stop here. I hope that everyone still continue improving and developing one self to make the working system of our organization better and better. The awards are the social parts perceived by the external people, while we, as the staff, should improve ourselves and increase our standards to more upper levels.

Mr.Tetsuo Inatomi, President of TCS : As for TCS, this is first time to get this Prime Minister Award, so we are very much proud. This time we have got award for Energy Management and we would like to try other sector to get the kind of prize again. The reason why we could get this kind of award is, of course, the team work of our employee to save the energy and also another very big reason is, we are save energy as a group of Sahaviriya Group.
As we may know , this time, four industries of Sahaviriya Group could get this PM Awards. This shows the work of energy saving, cooperation work, exchanging information of quality. Such kind of group working in Sahaviriya Group is quite important and we’d like to continue this kind of work at TCS as well.
I am very much proud that we could get this kind of award. This come from every sector, production, electric maintenance, mechanical maintenance, utilities and all. So we really appreciate their work. I do hope to continue the kind of improvement as well.

Mr. Wichien Tungsuknirundorn, President of TCRSS: I am very glad that TCRSS received the Outstanding Award this year because it is like an indicator of successful energy conservation activity of the Company. It is also indeed a great pleasure that this year Sahaviriya Group received 4 awards altogether. This can reflect our intention and development for the effective management. The important factor for such huge success can be said that it is due to all of the staff who participated in the energy conservation activities which can bring success to us today.

Mr. Kittisak Mapanao, Senior Deputy Managing Director of WCE: I am very glad and very proud because the award is a concrete proof that we have quality management throughout the organization and it has been recognized by the Ministry of Industry. This award is the result of cooperation of every department beginning from the manager level to all staff. I would like to dedicate this award to everybody. The factor for this success is the spirit of teamwork. We are working as a team and we are desire to improve the organization continually. This is the most important factor that makes everyone thinks about the development and improves oneself and organization to keep on having further success.

เบื้องหลังความสำเร็จ 4 รางวัลอุตสาหกรรมเด่นบริษัทในกลุ่มเอสเอสไอ

นับเป็นอีกหนึ่งความภาคภูมิใจที่บริษัทในกลุ่มเอสเอสไอที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกให้รับรางวัลอุตสาหกรรมดีเด่นประจำปี 2552 ถึง 4 บริษัท ได้แก่ บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ เอสเอสไอ รางวัลอุตสาหกรรมดีเด่น ประเภทการเพิ่มผลผลิต บริษัท เวสท์โคสท์ เอ็นจิเนียริ่ง จำกัด (WCE) ได้รับรางวัลอุตสาหกรรมดีเด่น ประเภทการบริหารงานคุณภาพ บริษัท เหล็กแผ่นรีดเย็นไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) (TCRSS) และ บริษัท เหล็กแผ่นเคลือบไทย จำกัด (TCS) ได้รับรางวัลอุตสาหกรรมดีเด่น ประเภทการจัดการพลังงาน
ทั้งนี้ผู้บริหารของทั้ง 4 บริษัท ได้เข้ารับมอบรางวัลดังกล่าวจาก นายอภิสิทธิ์ เวชชาชีวะ นายกรัฐมนตรี ภายในงาน “พิธีมอบรางวัลอุตสาหกรรม ประจำปี 2552” ซึ่งจัดขึ้นโดยกระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม ณ ตึกสันติไมตรี ทำเนียบรัฐบาล เมื่อวันที่ 14 กรกฎาคมที่ผ่านมา

คุณวิน วิริยประไพกิจ กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ เอสเอสไอ : วันนี้เอสเอสไอและบริษัทในเครือของเราได้รับรางวัลถึง 4 รางวัลซึ่งเป็นครั้งแรกที่เราได้รับรางวัลมากถึงขนาดนี้ เป็นสิ่งที่น่ายินดีกับเพื่อนๆพนักงานทุกคน แสดงให้เห็นมาตรฐานในการทำงานของเรา สิ่งที่สำคัญคือเรามีระบบการจัดการที่ดีและเราหมั่นทบทวน ปรับปรุงตัวเองอยู่เสมอ ดังนั้นเราก็คงจะไม่หยุดอยู่ที่ตรงนี้หวังว่าทุกคนก็ยังคงจะหมั่นปรับปรุงพัฒนาทำให้ระบบงาน องค์กรของเราดีขึ้นเรื่อยๆ เรื่องของรางวัลก็เป็นเรื่องของสังคมภายนอกที่มองเข้ามา ส่วนพวกเราเองก็ต้องทำให้ดีและดีขึ้นเรื่อยๆ

คุณ Tetsuo Inatomi, President of TCS : นับเป็นครั้งแรกของ TCS สำหรับรางวัลอุตสาหกรรมดีเด่น ซึ่งเรามีความภาคภูมิใจเป็นอย่างยิ่งกับรางวัลที่ได้รับในประเภทการจัดการพลังงาน และจะพยายามเพื่อให้ได้รับรางวัลอื่นๆอีกต่อไป เหตุผลสำคัญที่ทำให้เราได้รับรางวัลในครั้งนี้คือการทำงานของทีมงานในการอนุรักษ์พลังงาน และเหตุผลที่สำคัญอีกประการหนึ่งคือการที่เราประหยัดพลังงานในฐานะที่เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของเครือสหวิริยา

ทุกท่านทราบกันดีแล้วว่า บริษัทในกลุ่มเอสเอสไอที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกให้รับรางวัลอุตสาหกรรมดีเด่นประจำปี 2552 ถึง 4 บริษัท นั่นแสดงให้เห็นถึงรางวัลที่ได้รับ การประสานงานที่ดี การแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลซึ่งกันและกันซึ่งล้วนเป็นสิ่งที่สำคัญยิ่ง เราจะดำเนินเรื่องเหล่าอย่างต่อเนื่องที่ TCS เช่นกัน
ผมขอแสดงความภาคภูมิใจกับรางวัลนี้อีกครั้ง กับ ทุกๆส่วนงานของการผลิต การซ่อมบำรุงไฟฟ้า เครื่องจักร และสาธารณูปโภค ทั้งหมดนี้เป็นผลงานของทีมงานทุกคน และขอชื่นชมกับการทำงานของพนักงานทุกคน และหวังว่าเราจะช่วยกันพัฒนาให้ดียิ่งขึ้นต่อไป

คุณวิเชียร ตั้งสุขนิรันดร กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ TCRSS: รู้สึกยินดีอย่างยิ่งสำหรับรางวัลอุตสาหกรรมดีเด่นเป็นรางวัลที่นับเป็นตัวบ่งชี้ความสำเร็จของกิจกรรมการอนุรักษ์พลังงานของบริษัท และเป็นที่น่ายินดีอย่างยิ่งที่ในปีนี้เครือสหวิริยาของเราได้รับรางวัลถึง 4 บริษัทด้วยกัน ในปีเดียวสะท้อนให้เห็นว่าพวกเรามุ่งมั่นและพัฒนาการบริหารจัดการอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ปัจจัยสำคัญในความสำเร็จครั้งนี้บอกได้เลยครับว่าคือพนักงานทุกคนที่มีส่วนร่วมในกิจกรรมอนุรักษ์พลังงานและทำให้เราประสบความสำเร็จในวันนี้

คุณกิตติศักดิ์ มาพะเนาว์ รักษาการรองกรรมการผู้จัดการอาวุโส WCE : ดีใจและก็ภูมิใจอย่างมากเพราะว่ารางวัลนี้เป็นเครื่องพิสูจน์ว่าเราได้ทำงานบริหารคุณภาพทั่วทั้งองค์กรและก็มีกระทรวงอุตสาหกรรมมารับรองด้วยการมอบรางวัลให้ รางวัลนี้เกิดจากความร่วมมือของทุกๆฝ่ายตั้งแต่ระดับผู้จัดการถึงพนักงานทุกๆคน ก็อยากจะมอบรางวัลนี้ให้กับทุกๆคนครับ ปัจจัยที่ทำให้ได้รับรางวัลและประสบความสำเร็จในครั้งนี้ เป็นเรื่องสปิริตของทีมเวิร์ค คือการทำงานที่เป็นทีม และความต้องการที่จะพัฒนาความก้าวหน้าขององค์กรอย่างสม่ำเสมอของคนเราในองค์กร ตรงนี้คือปัจจัยสำคัญที่ผลักดันให้ทุกคนคิดที่จะพัฒนา ผลักดันตนเองและองค์กรให้ไปสู่ความสำเร็จที่สูงขึ้นไปเรื่อยๆ
